As for BTA, I'm in the camp that thinks selling him on (even if it's good financial business) is a mistake. I know he needs to greatly improve his finishing but his work rate is excellent and whilst he may not have banged in the goals, his hold up and off the ball play were good. Always struggled as a lone striker but, like Ketts, I would have liked to have seen him paired up with a proper C.F. or other striker. Always seemed to have a great attitude and, whilst it may not be too relevant in footballing terms, he also came across as a personable young man.

Think we might rue letting him go, but if we do then I wish him all the best (and we can at least say that Brandon also gave us some good memories-that bicycle kick goal for example)

I agree with you! Seems very odd selling to a Midlands rival whose ambitions seem much higher than ours!

Because they offered the best deal BTA doesn't have to move location, also not sure he will start many games for them, as they have Simms and Haji Wright already at the club.

Loyalty does not pay financial protection for your family or excite your ambition.

I expect more players to come in as will Carlos as again he’s far from stupid! If the team start off badly then it’s always a manager who will get the crap regardless of anything. Carlos does not need West Brom that’s for sure as he’s young and hungry so we will see!
But it’s not going to be like for like Al. I think we’ll be better in some positions and worse in others.

We’d be a lot worse off next year when the contracts end, we have no money and a points deduction for breaching PSR.

Patel is dealing with the unfortunate hand he’s been dealt by Lai.

I hadn’t realised until today just how bad the situation is and how bad it’s likely to become next year.

The players so many want rid of will be gone next summer but we have no financial headroom with which to replace them like for like financially.

We all wanted to still have a club to follow and it’s very likely we will be following them in League One or Two unless our youngsters are able to mature very quickly.

The next two seasons are about hanging on for grim life.

Reports of £24m in losses. On top of reported £11m the season before making it around £35m over two years. £39m over three years is a breach.

Like for like squad which is obvious as hard to get exact like for like by individual player. I don’t believe we will be weaker than last season and neither will Carlos!! He’s not thick to blot his reputation by having a squad that won’t challenge and would be off! That’s obvious especially when in demand!

If we start off crap - regardless of fault it’s always the manager that sadly gets the flak!

    Yes, I’ve heard the same.

We are in very serious shy te.

We can afford to lose almost no money this season.

It’s not going to be a drastic drop in quality though IMO. Of all that we’ve lost, for me only Kipre is hard to replace. Heggem might be really decent, who knows.

BTA was hit and miss but mostly miss. Ran around a lot but didn’t do much otherwise. Not very quick, technically gifted or smart. I doubt he’ll displace Simms at Coventry.

Okay was decent but only for 60 minutes and he’s been looking like he’s declining IMO. Diakite might be better than him, who knows.

    Townsend was sh*te.
