But it’s not going to be like for like Al. I think we’ll be better in some positions and worse in others.
We’d be a lot worse off next year when the contracts end, we have no money and a points deduction for breaching PSR.
Patel is dealing with the unfortunate hand he’s been dealt by Lai.
I hadn’t realised until today just how bad the situation is and how bad it’s likely to become next year.
The players so many want rid of will be gone next summer but we have no financial headroom with which to replace them like for like financially.
We all wanted to still have a club to follow and it’s very likely we will be following them in League One or Two unless our youngsters are able to mature very quickly.
The next two seasons are about hanging on for grim life.
Yes, indeed, for which we can thank the horrible little Chinese f****r.
Reports of £24m in losses. On top of reported £11m the season before making it around £35m over two years. £39m over three years is a breach.
Like for like squad which is obvious as hard to get exact like for like by individual player. I don’t believe we will be weaker than last season and neither will Carlos!! He’s not thick to blot his reputation by having a squad that won’t challenge and would be off! That’s obvious especially when in demand!
If we start off crap - regardless of fault it’s always the manager that sadly gets the flak!
It’s not going to be a drastic drop in quality though IMO. Of all that we’ve lost, for me only Kipre is hard to replace. Heggem might be really decent, who knows.
BTA was hit and miss but mostly miss. Ran around a lot but didn’t do much otherwise. Not very quick, technically gifted or smart. I doubt he’ll displace Simms at Coventry.
Okay was decent but only for 60 minutes and he’s been looking like he’s declining IMO. Diakite might be better than him, who knows.
Townsend was sh*te.
And hey, I thought we had bad foreign owners!!.
How on earth have your club lost that much. What is it, around £35 mill in 2 seasons ?. 😩
