I heard earlier this week that it’s not simply asbestos (see what I did there?) that’s the issue at the Home of the Living Dead, it’s RAAC, the crumbly concrete stuff that’s seeing buildings being condemned or subjected to hugely-expensive structural repairs. Of course, it was permissable to use asbestos alongside RAAC at one point, and Bigot Central was constructed between 1987 and 1981, so who knows what they used to build it. It’s a well-established fact though, that RC labourers working on it buried all sorts of their religion’s memorabilia in the foundations and other shuttered concrete during its construction. Sad as fùck.
