Shades of Mikkelsen/Daly. He's gonna be a useful signing, definitely.

Really enjoyed the game today, gutted not to win it but as has been said already, lots of things to be positive about. I'm mystified as to why the referee and var found nothing wrong with the goalkeepers challenge on Trapanovski. Absolute joke that VAR is,guess we can sit back and get used to plenty more shyte decisions this season. The positives though are plentiful. Pretty much all of the new signings look excellent, The two Macedonians are gonna make us very exciting to watch. VDS put a huge shift in up top and what can I say about Will Ferry? F*cking love this guy already! Young Miller Thompson probably my man of the match though, take a bow son that was a f*cking brilliant performance today.

Well pleased with the first half, some excellent play, Said to my son at half time, keep McCowan quiet and we win the game - we didn’t !!! However, signs there that we should hold our own this season. Team should feed off the unbelievable support they get….

Strange that your primary observation from today's game is that 'the likes of Watt & Middleton won't get a sniff this season'. Is that it?

I still can't work out how miller-thompson ended up on the left side for his goal, thought when he scored it must have been ferry or trapanoski coming in from there.

His best game in a Tangerine shirt so far. Almost unplayable first half.

Everyone put in a good shift and showed the class many United players have lacked for a long time.

A couple of times the right back whose name is difficult and Babunski seemed to be carrying knocks/niggles, i hope thats just getting up to speed pains. Both were very good.

Second half we came out and sat back off them and allowed them to play giving an extra 2m each time and got punished for it...... I feel that was a dressing room instruction.

Playing downhill we should have been in their faces and playing like terrors, the D would never have survived.

But that VAR decision for the keeper. WTF does he have to use a physical hatchet to get a United decision. Even my Mrs couldnt believe it.

Is it not down to the way VAR is used? The keeper clearly cleaned out our man no argument. The foul was outside the box. At the time I wasn't sure but TV confirmed that. The fact that Trapanovski got a shot off on target and the ref. ignored the clear foul after meant that VAR could, under their own rules, not get involved as the foul was outside the box and they can only rule on penalty decisions. The exception to this is dangerous foul play. If the VAR officials deemed it sufficiently dangerous a tackle they could have sent the ref. to the monitor to rule on a red card. If so ruled then presumably a free kick outside the box would have ensued but obviously the VAR didn't see the foul as sufficiently dangerous. The one fact and correct decision is that we were never going to get a penalty.

Yeah it was a clear foul but that's VAR for you, a waste of time. I wasn't looking forward to it affecting our games this season and yesterday confirmed my fears.
