Proven scorer in league 1 even when FGR was relegated think he got 9 in 16.
We haven’t a striker capable of even 9 in 25 IMO at the minute apart from Jatta and he’s bound to pick up and injury.
Scott will never be the same player not that he was any good or prolific anyway even at National league level and Didzy hasn’t the legs to play every game or train every day, apparently when there’s a midweek game he’s only capable of training twice in that same week.

He’s 27 and has had one good season. Prior to last season he had scored 2 goals in 45 games…..in L2.

In his career previous at all levels (much below L2) he averaged less than 8 goals a season.

He scored 6 for FGR (according to Wiki) he hasn’t scored double digits for the same club since 11 goals in 79 appearances for Sunderland nearly a decade ago.
Not sure he’s a proven scorer at any level or plays the way we want. I’d pass on this one.

I’d argue 15 goals in 36 (21 starts) was a good return for Cedwyn in the NL. Better than 1 in 3, you’d easily take that.

There should be zero surprise that McGoldrick didn’t/doesn’t train every day, especially if we have midweek games. Surely, it’s incredibly sensible to look after your resources differently and according to their circumstances?

He isn’t a career striker though he was only played as one for the last 18 months so that explains his record.

Although you are right he has only had one goal scoring season so he is a risk to some extent but we don’t need to worry about that.

We’ll be ok when some stick thin 19 year old rocks up from Lincoln / Plymouth.

What would you say is prolific in terms of goals per minutes?

I wouldn't worry. Like someone else said he's had one good season. We were in for him apparently but that all fell through when he started demanding 1st team football. So we told him to go fourth and multiply politely, apparently.
