I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading on here (even though it is NCM). We have the best owners we have had for years, a couple of exciting seasons regarding promotion and the number of goals scored. We have signed a new defence something fans have been shouting about for years. They have invested money both on and off the pitch but some people will never be happy ffs.
Even if this is true and I suspect not, it will not be the end of the world, it never has been when players move on for whatever reason. Players will come and go this is football. After over 50 years supporting Notts I think I've seen it all, but for the first time in a long while I'm confident the owners know what they are doing and come the end of the month the squad will be geared up for promotion.
If we sell Jones and Crowley it's probably because they won't commit to an extended contract and we face the situation of letting them go for much less in January or nothing at the end of the season. Too may people overlook the money (and improvements) that this club has benefitted from under these owners and if they want to get a few quid back who can blame them?
If Dan Crowley were to leave then who would we have to take on the Matty Palmer role? Can't really see it happening at the moment but what do I know.
There are 3 ways this could go.
Sell him now if the offer is too good to refuse.
Let his contract expire as per Ruben.
Extend his contract.
The same applies to Jodi.
They would have to get at least one replacement in for each of them if they were to go.
This has to go down as the most ridiculous thread of the year, there is no truth in this ,trust me i know.
We really ought to be making the most out of the players we’ve got while we’ve got them rather than wondering who we’ll replace them with. We’re already short of numbers, playing catch up will get us nowhere.
At the end of the day this is a speculative post on an FB account of unknow origin (unless others know better). It says that they "will table a serious bid if Keilor-Dunn departs for Barnsely", whoever Barnsely are.
I'd be very disappointed if he went especially to Mansfield. As others have said though, he's out of contract next summer so a good offer might be worth it although to me it would signal we're not going for it this year. I don't think there's any chance of him going though.
