    Swansea v Preston North End

    Swansea v Preston Sat 17 August 15:00
Ryan Lowe has gone after losing at home to Sheffield Utd last Friday.
First team coach Mike Marsh (was here under Steve Cooper) has taken over temporarily and in his first match Preston beat Sunderland at home in the Cup on Tuesday night.
Their goalkeeper Freddie Woodman and his back-up Dai Cornell are both ex-Swans.
They have two new players, winger, Jeppe Okels and midfielder Stefan Thordarson and two returning loanees, midfielder Sam Greenwood and wingback Kain Kessler-Hayden.
We’re looking for our first league win and so are Preston. Hopefully we’ll see some shots on target, zero at Boro last week.

    Swansea 3 (Grimes 40’ pen, Abdulai 61’, Vipotnik 83’) - Preston 0

Swans: Vigouroux, Tymon (A-On 88’), Darling, Cabango, Key (Naughton 65’), Grimes(c), Franco (Fulton 65’), Ronald, Cooper, Eom (Abdulai 57’), Cullen (Vipotnik 66’)
Unused subs: Broome, Pedersen, Thomas, Watts

A resounding win for the Swans. It took until the 40th minute for us to score with a hand-ball for the penalty.
Preston came at us first 15 mins of the second-half but the Swans capped a fine display with a further two goals.
It was important we won this game with the Cardiff derby coming up. Cardiff meanwhile got hammered 5-0 at Burnley, who look favourites to bounce straight back up. Only disappointment was the poor 14k attendance.

I enjoyed that match today. It was full of attacking play, with Ronald and Eom on the wings, Franco and Grimes in midfield.
A few dodgy moments when Preston had some chances and the Darling penalty shout for hand-ball but overall an excellent win and three points.
Hopefully the missing fans will turn up next Sunday for the derby game against Cardiff
