They made 9 changes today and still took Motherwell to extra time. As said above make them play the game, why should we lose out just to help a rival make an extra £3Million?

If they don’t want to play, just forfeit the 3 points or play your kids
Despite Robsons flogging of his favoured players, seem to recall we didn’t do too great last year coming back from good performances in Europe and we suffered in our league position because of it - may even have qualified again this year. So **** them- we will already lose income by moving to the Sunday which have to accept, but unless they want to offer compensation for moving to a midweek fixture should be saying no thanks

Because it's "good for Scottish football".
Other clubs have made similar requests and been told to get lost. Also, does this happen in other countries? Do Polish or Austrian clubs get a weekend off just because there's a small chance they could make the league stage of a European competition?
F*ck them ... if they want tae play wi' the big boys, they need tae get their 'big boy' punts on.
Did we not go through a stage last year in Sept/Oct when we were playing 3 games a week for a few weeks, and again similar in Nov/Dec as a result of Europe and other postponements? Tell them to f***n ram it. That first half of last season, and the number of fixtures, really f***d us over (and a s***e manage who I really wanted to do well).
Postpone this one to help their Euro chances, then what do they do if they do make the group stages and face a situation like ours? Where does the line get drawn.
Nope - play your games. You wanted to be in Europe. You can't have your cake and eat it (but, as an aside, if that's the case, what is the actual point of cake?)
The wording of this saying / proverb has always really been mis-leading, but the actual meaning of the saying is basically trying to point out that you can only eat the cake once. - Once you "have" your cake that means you have already scoffed it then you cant eat that bit of again.
Hope that helps![]()
Ridiculous idea re postponement - but, correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t that all it is? Some reporter kite flying?
A lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth over something that hasn’t even happened.
I suppose it deflects from Sevco being a shambles and Celtic’s ‘managed stagnation’ though.
I think the more sensible version of the saying is: ye canna eat yer cake and have it too. It got switched around somewhere, making it more confusing.
