The money he was earning simply for conmentating on football matches and reading an autocue in a TV studio was mind-boggling. If he has thrown all that away for himself and his family by sending inappropriate messages to one or more colleagues then he is a total idiot who deserves everything he gets.

He didn't actually deny sending any messages when questioned is what I saw briefly this morning. He evaded the question and went directly to i might get my solicitors involved...!

If it's just text messages, it seems a rather disproportionate response to sacked him from two separate jobs (BBC Sport and BBC Commercial) as well as his agent dropping him and the BBC hastily removing him from murals on its buildings. TalkSport have also seemingly suspended him (or rather he has no future presenter duties for the time being).
Especially when the BBC kept Huw Edwards on the payroll way past him being charged with what he got charged with. Something else must have happened that isn't being said
