Well done to the lads. Worked very hard and deserved our victory. Second half we probed and showed more attacking intent resulting in our opening goal which was an excellent move.

United were always gonna play a possession based game out from the back, but I thought that suited us because we pressed them well up until 70 mins, then with the subs and 1-0 lead, we inevitably dropped deeper.

Looking at young Yoganathan, he looks a very good prospect. He looks good on the ball and has quick feet although he's still very raw. Barry Cotter was my MOTM and was absolutely superb. The best I've seen him play in a Reds shirt. His fitness and effort is phenomenal and played a peach of a pass for the goal.

I did not see the first half Pass due to that 4 letter word, work but enjoyed the second half. I just said to myself if we have kept it scoreless by half time and looking at the stats we have a chance to win the game.

Really liked how Cotter is developing in all aspects of his game. He has pace, determination to get forward and good vision in picking out players, defence wise also improving, his physical approach may result in some yellow cards but better than just ***** footing it around the park. He also was visually annoyed with himself a couple of times for not reaching a player due to a poor pass, certainly a player committed to improving his level of performance. Second game I had him my MOM.

To be honest mate, a year ago I never thought Cotter could cut it. He's always worked very hard which is what every Barnsley fan loves, but he was lacking in quality and football intelligence without being disrespectful to the lad. I thought to myself-what's thy expect fo 20k? Ennyrooard, as tha sez, he's developing all aspects of his game and his hard work is starting to pay off. His decision making is much improved and he will get most assists this season if he carries on like this. The thing now is consistency in maintaining these standards. I really hope he can.

Playing with a back three including Roberts and Pines for sure will be helping him.
