It’s positive PM wants to fix country’s relationship with the EU but if we now face tax hikes & cuts to public services to fill a £20bn black hole in the public finances we must have an honest discussion about the negative impact of Brexit & the role it has played in creating it

If UK wasn't in Schengen before Brexit and isn't post Brexit, how can Brexit have impacted the application of their rules?

You might as well say that Brexit has changed our compliance with the Arab Cooperation Council rules. We weren't in that before Brexit and still aren't now.

No wriggling on my part, I just pointed out what I believe was a factual inaccuracy, happy to be proved wrong, but being given the usual lecture on all things Brexit is not a correction it’s a demonstration of political irritability which I’m glad I don’t suffer from. Not a criticism just an observation

Schengen is a con, that was only in place for the zealots wanting a United Europe. FRee movement has caused nothing but trouble, from job overload, to terrorists moving county to country unchecked.

If £6 is such a bind to someones life and having your fingerprints taken, then I suggest you don't travel. It happens all over the world , yet we get a government that acts like borders don't exist and are more porous than a tea bag,

The more checks the better and every illegal should be subject to 10 times the checks.

    Still could be worse

    the black hole lie,

What about this fully costed and guaranteed manifesto?
How come when have a black hole, Starmer is giving away billions over seas with all this green scam?
We can find billions for unions screams?
We fund Ukraine to the tune of billions?
Not to mention the asylum scam eating billions of tax payers money. So much for his stop the gangs.
Foreign aid scam? Britons are shelling out for projects like an all-female traditional opera in Shanghai, a rural crafts exhibition in Shenzhen in southern China,
Yet pensioners are fair game and pay the tv license

Comedy gold from a clown who hasn't a clue

Most of that stuff preceded the change in government (except the screaming unions bit, which was as predictable as Forest not winning the PL)

Sigh, yes…obviously…but your response identified the problem as relating to ‘Spain’ in general. My point is that Spain - as a whole - would struggle to survive without tourism whereas the problem is actually specific to certain areas, of which Mallorca is the clearest example of ‘over tourism’.

…and no ‘lecture’ on mine. It’s just patently obvious that Brexit has had a negative impact upon those of us who wish to travel in Europe and yes, it is irritating. As you know I never believed a word of it…but we were told Brexit would improve our quality of life…it hasn’t, it’s done the exact opposite.

Just read post 9242 again. In very few words it tells you all you need to know.
