    Game vs. Forest

If we get a nice win today - ie. by playing up to our own standards with high pressing, confidence on the ball, pacey passes to unlock their defence etc. - I will be more confident of how we go into the next few games of the league.

If we don't turn up today, I will be very worried indeed. About everything - but especially about getting a few important transfers over the line.

It does have the feel of an important game which seems crazy this early in the season. Lose and the wheels are in motion for a mini crisis with zero improvement to the starting XI and very little improvement to the overall squad. Off-field upheaval with Mitchell and Eales looking amateurish at best whilst a case can be made that Eddie is being hung out to dry. Not a good mix for an ‘excitable’ fan base such as ours!

Win and we progress to the next round of a winnable cup competition. A win will stave off any need for panic despite us having a summer, so far, to forget. Yes, an important game.

So who do you think would want to hang Eddie out to dry,and why?

To play Devil's Advocate, maybe a poor performance will ignite an extra tranfer or two in the final two days of the summer window. Not likely but you never know. I'd rather the win and on to the next round - carry a little momentum into the weekend.

    Team:

Pope, Trippier, Krafth, Burn, Hall; TONALI, Willock, Joelinton, Almiron, Isak, Barnes.

Subs: Ruddy, Gordon, Targett, Osula, Livramento, Murphy, Kelly, Longstaff, Bruno

Strong team, that. (capitals are the Chronic's ) Forest have made 10 changes.

Just hope Pope isnt injured tonight or we are in trouble if he is with Ruddy on the bench.
