Thread: After the match comments that CAM does v Huddersfield.

Totally dominated the game and fully deserved the win. A typical full-blooded Steve Evans type effort - havent we missed it!

Honestly no idea what the open poster means with regards wanting their players - they were all gash.

The sending off was a 100% correct decision, and ironically i clapped Danny Ward on when he came on as sub, as he did really well in his short time with us, but the use of the elbow on mcCart was horrendous. The penalty, for me anyway and I've just seen it back, was 100% not a penalty which was my thoughts when it happened. However, after an even first half we absolutely dominated the 2nd half and the sending off seemed to affect us more but after the soft penalty there was only going to be one winner and that was us. All in all that told me that we are maybe a lot better than some on here think we are and we are only going to get better, as long as we keep people fit, and whilst Huddersfield fans might, rightly so, point to the soft penalty that changed the game, all those fans who were there can't possibly say the best team didn't win because we were miles better than them 2nd half and even after we went in front and 6 mins plus added, they never threatened us in the slightest and that is because on the day we were miles better. Penalty for me - tackle from behind. It may not have been a hard tackle but he wasnt going to get to the ball without tangling legs.

Important that no one gets carried away. It's the first time this season that everyone in the team has done their job.

To your comment why I didn't think we would win on the match thread, to which I said 10,204 fans at the stadium
    would think the same.
Think about it, the Terriers came with a 100% winning games run, we couldn't score goals on our games so far,
hoof ball football from the Millers in the past games.
Thankfully the Millers won, with some dominance in the second half of the game, one of my sons a Huddersfield Town
fan came back after the game to my home, he said the Millers deserved to win the game.
So looking at the stats no one would have expected a win for the Millers, before the game.
Hopefully the win will give our forwards confidence, & they start to score goals off the chances made.

Fair enough, but I would have gone mad had that been given against us. UTM

Best team won. I thought the Ref allowed Town a lot of leeway with their dark-arts.
They will be up there at the end, hopefully so will we. I'm still sticking to my 10 games rule. Evans in or out tonight for the guys judging match by match?

Didn't see you at the game today Mrs Evans. Give hubby a slap on the arse from me and a hug, if that's still possible.

Nothing like a win to settle the nerves and create an optimistic rush of blood to the brain. Think massive! Top 6? Autos? One year to acclimatise to the Chumpship and.... who knows? ISWT!*

A big improvement from us, but be honest, their defence was even worse than ours has been. Good to see Tiehi back and Nombe looking more like an expensive (relatively) investment.

Pleased to see more "football" being played and hopefully this will continue to improve.

The ref's position for the pen wasn't great. Had he been more side-on I don't think it would have been given.

There seemed to be a lot of Mrs Evans’ around me today. I heard excitement and singing. The Anti-Evans brigade can say what they like but I’d much prefer what we had today than the direness of the last 2 or 3 managers!

1st half hoof ball didn't even get anywhere being the right way. Changed it for the 2nd half and played some decent stuff.

Seeing both incidents in real time, sending off was a bit reckless, and thats being polite. Penalty looked a bit dodgy to say the least. Glad it wasn't given against us.

Overall i think we deserved the 3 points...............UTM.

Was McCart still off the pitch when they scored? Ward gets sent off, McCart injured so compulsory 30 seconds off the pitch and they score. That rule needs looking out as it certainly penalised us.
