I've seen enough difficult times over the years at Notts to know that when you win, you should accept the result and enjoy it. I don't know what your agenda is, and I'm not claiming that the current ownership regime are right about everything, but they're doing a hell of a lot better with their recruitment, with building our support base, and moving Notts upwards and onwards than anyone since Derek Pavis.
Now that's just plain silly. We were away to a team that had a point to prove and they didn't have enough to prove that point (although I thought they were worth a draw). During the 96 minutes we came under threat as many times as you would expect, yes, there were a couple of sloppy moments but to say we were played off the park is ludicrous.
Great win. Any team that gets promoted will have seven or eight of those over a season.
Today wasn’t perfect. Over the course of the season, obviously we’ll need to play better.
But Jesus H Christ - we came from behind to win 2-1 away without our main striker.
Today is a good day!
I can’t remember CBT being this negative last season. Mapperley was really positive today and that’s probably the most condescending thing I have said in my life, sorry MM. Let’s just try and enjoy it now, squad is what it is now and so is the manger.
