Farhan Ahmed made history today as the youngest player ever to take 10 wickets in a match - not bad for a 16 year old. Helped Notts get a decent draw against leaders Surrey.
Now watch us make a pig’s ear of it against Es*** in the next game.

A creditable draw in a weird game. In Surrey's second innings which lasted 53 overs, only Ahmed and Patterson-White bowled. I don't ever recall seeing two spinners bowl for an entire innings lasting that long. They did a good job, taking wickets regularly and stifling the run rate so Surrey couldn't set a challenging target. Ahmed bowled a staggering 76.4 overs in the match and the experience will have done him the world of good. Another special mention for local born 19 year old Freddie McCann for his 154 in the first innings. The two youngsters put many of the senior players to shame.
