He did it when he received the ball around the halfway line and instantly held his groin. He then limped around for the last few minutes.
That’s likely to be a few weeks out.

I think the strength of the squad is part of the reason some of the players who would possibly have played a larger part last season haven’t looked part of the team. Austin and Scott both need a confidence boost to hopefully make the step up as neither believe in themselves currently, and it shows. Their first touches are tentative and frequently poor and they look a little off the pace. Austin had a better game yesterday and certainly can fill a squad role. Scott needs a run without injury and a loan to team where he gets regular game time.

Both give 100%, no question, but if they can’t believe in themselves at FL players they’ll struggle to get into this side.

He's not going to get another 6 months unless his performances improve.

His stock will sharp rise with a goal if he's ever played from the start in his favoured position.
There lies the issue, he's very rarely going to start as the lone striker ahead of Jata and Mcgoldrick when both are fit.

Both Scott and Austin could be NL loan candidates this season - both would benefit from a solid run of starts

Possible but cant do that till Jan now.

Austin isnt a player id loan though he is a squad player, never moans and is never injured these types are important.

No chance Austin goes out out on loan.

He can play anywhere in midfield and both full back positions, gives 100% in every game and doesn't seem the type to kick if he's not selected. Every squad needs a couple of Sam Austins, if anything I'd be tying him up to a longer contract.

I'am in the minority as I have never rated Scott, bar the Wembley penalty.

He did nothing pre season and nothing so far. Looked uninterested and at times lazy.

Farm him out on loan somewhere. We won't miss him.

God I hate this kind of lazy, throwaway observation.

Cedwyn Scott has been out for a year and in his first proper game back was dumped out wide on the left wing, which clearly isn't his position. He's then had a few substitute appearances that can only get you so far in terms of recovering match speed. He got in the right position for a chance yesterday but sadly put it wide, much to his frustration, but it's understandable due to his comparative lack of match sharpness.

Scott is unlucky that he's probably third in the queue for one place up front behind McGoldrick and Jatta at the present time, but there will be few if any teams in this league who have a striker as good as Cedwyn effectively sitting third in their depth chart. Just remember, he was only four goals behind Macauley Langstaff at Gateshead, he was a regular goalscorer for us in the National League, and he's young enough to come back strongly from the bad injury he suffered last year.

I know it's the football fan mentality - "What have you done for me lately?" - but fans really should be less ready to write-off good players, especially when those players have made such a significant contribution to get us here.
