Probably because that nasty Mr. Williams had pinched his e-scooter!

I heard a rumour that when Scott limped off Williams stamped on his leg which certainly made the injury worse 🤔

The more legitimate criticism of the number of substitutions is that it definitely disrupted our flow in the last 15 minutes and Accrington came into the game far more than they should have been allowed to. A better team could have got a goal back and then it would have been really tense, but fortunately Accy didn't have the ability to take advantage.

Maynard needs to learn from it though - a couple of subs to freshen things up and get a few minutes in legs is fine, but don't take the piss.
He made 4 of the 5 possible subs which is the minimum virtually every team makes.
We can’t play that high press and sustain it with the same forward line.
I never felt at any point in the game that the flow was disrupted, more we were just seeing it out. We stopped committing Macari/Bedeau forward for the last 15minutes but nothing else changed. We still looked the more likely to score.
It was completely controlled in my eyes from start to finish and credit to SM for another victory!

All a bit needless imo, the game isn’t won at 2-0 and we shouldn’t assume it is. The difference this season I suppose is that we appear to have stronger subs to bring on and our defence don’t sh!t the bed when the ball gets in our half.
Are some on here saying that Palmer shouldn’t have come on at 2-0 to get more minutes? Or that Cedwyn should have stayed on the bench instead of giving him a chance to rediscover his touch? Or Brown not given the opportunity to perform in a match day situation? Or Gordon also denied match minutes?
Yes, if we had not brought Cedwyn on he would not have got injured but that rather defeats the point of it all.

Should have taken him off, they knew he was struggling they were never likely to score even with us down to 10 men, bad decision by the coaches

Yes, if we had not bought Cedwyn on he would not have got injured but that rather defeats the point of it all.
I’d do all that at 3-0 up rather than 2-0 but maybe I worry too much…

You know we’re doing well when people have to start using ‘what if’ scenarios to make a negative point!

After Scott came on, he nearly scored and nearly set one up. So whilst he was brought on to get minutes into him, he’s nearly wrapped the whole thing up and then nearly put a bow on it. Don’t see much issue with that myself…

Three opportunities plus half-time to make substitutions seems to me to be enough to make tactical changes but retain a "window" for non-concussion injuries if required.
The whole thing is a mess IMO. A manager uses all his windows to change his team and then with 15 minutes to go a player gets a broken leg and the team then has to play with 10 men! This rule could affect relegation or promotion and needs changing (possibly to the ref being the judge of a serious injury substitution?)
