Michael Duff's Huddersfield Town have this week swooped to sign free agent striker Freddie Ladapo following his release by Ipswich.
It's just like Humphrys being released by Wigan and being a free agent signed by Barnsley but there is no pretence in Lapado's case that the deal had to be done late on transfer deadline day which it didn't. Sormaz happily drank from the chalice of unfounded praise poured by some fans for "getting the Humphry's deal done" by 11-00pm on deadline day.
