If true Howe needs to maybe go perhaps he is after the England job now, you cant be so stubborn in times like this Guehi and nobody else, we need a quality centre back in today other wise its Burn and Schar till january when Botman hopefully comes back and the window reopens. I Hope this report is untrue and Howe isnt being so petty we will have to wait and see what happens fingers crossed.

How fcuking hard is it to improve on that????

Palace have confirmed he's staying with them. I'm relieved. Plenty of other, equally good CBs out there we can go for.

    Only not in this window.

    Absolutely fcuking scandalous, man.

    Where's the gin!!

    Craig Hope reported that

"Howe told Mitchell Get me Guehi or don't bring in another CB."

If this is the case, Eddie's gonna get himself fired.

We've missed out on a player of great quality for £40m who is every bit as good as Guehi.

I appreciate the need for English players for Homegrown and the need to have cohesion culturally. However, to refuse other equally quality options is naive at best and disrespectful to the club & fans at worst.

Tomorrow needs to be a massive day for us or the fans are gonna go mental if we don't play well & win well against Spurs.

If they beat us the fans will go mental!
    This part…

If this is true then WTF is Howe playing at?
It’s politics at the expense of the squad, plain and simple… and Eales should have done his job and told him to pipe down.

Questioned it before, but is this another case of us not only being limited by who we can attract/afford, but by Eddie’s ability to work with all players and manager characters effectively… or the lack of it.

Keeping Miggy, a delight to work with and not a problem in the dressing room.

All speculation based on a reported comment, but if true then the club needs to sort this out… and decisively… pretty f**king quick.

If Howe had final call on Guehi or no-one, this will be his last season here. There a structure that we're setting up and if Eddie is going to go against the momentum of the rest, they'll find someone who can work with a DoF and focus on the first team.

Maybe not be true but worrying comments and our 6 bids over the months indicates something weird is going on.

You get the impression that Palace had no intention at all of going through with a sale and the total thing was just a piss take on their behalf to leave us too late to strengthen.

When we play them it will be big payback time and I'd be delighted to see us hand out a home and away thrashing to them and Guehi have a couple of disastrous games into the bargain. Then next window his value come down to peanuts.

And hopefully they continue to play hard ball and then we sign him up for free, on a pre contract in january 2026. He will be good back up at CB, for the 26/27 season.

Palace have played us brilliantly sadly.

Utterly ****ed us over and we've not strengthened - unless we get a loan in.

I hope we batter the ****e out of them home and away and they get relegated - ****s.

On top of that, they've now got Chalobah who would have been a decent other option. . . .have to laugh ****ing ****s.

Thank god we didnt sign him. 90 year old Vardy parked him this weekend. £70 mil!? Maybe £20 mil is fair.

He certainly didn't look like a £70 million player against Vardy.
