He exploited the self-same regulatory framework in place then as the one smelly-pants did. "Fault"? Not possible to exploit weaknesses if the weaknesses don't exist and they STILL do. Aim at the right targets and things MIGHT change, name-calling won't have any effect (you think Ridsdale gives a sh1t what we or any other fans (of LUFC and others) think?).

Risdale on talk shows like “question time” and O’leary writing a book.
Their intentions may not always have been Leeds related.
Talk about taking your eye of the ball.

Yesterday's men. Irrelevant to today's LUFC and every effort spent Iooking back is an effort that should be spent looking forward (because the subject that backward glance gives less than the tiniest rat's arse about LUFC). Prefer to see what the authorities will do to stop abuses of power in the future (just not so hopeful of seeing anything meaningful).

Strange that today's football club is almost universally seen as a business, and yet "normal" business governance structures remain almost completely absent, why?

There was enough legislation in place to deal with what they did. The Companies Act, the Insolvency Act and the Enterprise Act coupled with the multiple breaches of fiduciary duties were not re than enough to bring them to account.

The one thing they did achieve was changes in the rules to stop a lot of it happening again.

Too easy to call for a new regulator or to blame others. Bad decisions on and off the field - end of.
