May not even be an overspend.
The quality players we have ; Cunha, Gomes and looking likely to add Andre to that group. It stands a good chance at least one of them will be sold in January.
Balancing the books.
We’ve also had several windows where we had been hearing that Wolves wouldn’t be very active in a window, followed by significant fan complaints, followed by transfer activity. I have no doubt that Fosun would be fine with us finishing 17th. But more weeks like the first few and 17th will look out of reach under GON. And Wolves in the Championship does their business model no good.
If things continue to be dire, I expect we probably overspend in the January window (or bring in many loans with options to buy at the end of the season) to survive, which puts us in dire straits with FFP, followed by more barely scraping by to stay in good financial standing, hiring or more yes men like GON. Wash, rinse, repeat

We are a f***ing joke on and off the field!
We have a Chairman who has nothing but contempt for us long standing " Legacy Fans"!! That's what he called us. Don't forget, this is the man who openly said "If you support Wolves in the hope of winning things perhaps Wolves isn't the club for you"!! I still find that comment jaw dropping. He cares more for the 'Tourist visitor' who may spend their hard earned in the club shop and on the concourses.
He's absolutely abused the Wolves brand to set up businesses covering ESports, Fashion and Music Production. He cares more for these than what happens on the pitch.
We have a manager that has absolutely no skills on in game management. Week after week we, us fans, can clearly see what he can't. Both last week against Newcastle, and today against Villa we have deservedly led at the break but haven't looked like even trying to extend that lead going unto the second half. After an hour today it was clear to all of us, except O'Neil and his staff, that were under pressure and running out of legs. Most of us at the mere sight of this would have been to put another centre half on and go 3 at the back. Not O'Neil, he just stood there gormlessly looking on. It was the same against Chelsea. This is no coincidence, the man is incapable of reacting to what is glaringly obvious!
We're in trouble here, and between the two of them we're an absolute embarrassment when it comes to running a Professional Premier League Football Club. They both need to go!
With the away fans turning, and given the fact we've only taken 6 pts from a possible 60 odd going well back into last season O'Neil's time is surely up. If the board do not have any contingency plans, and names in place to replace him then it's negligence of the highest order!
At this minute Gary O'Neil has a win ratio of 33.3%, level with Solbakken. Forget Terry Connor's 0.00%, he's ahead of Dean Saunders and Sammy Chapman going back to the dark days of 1985. I fact only Bill McGarry,s 2nd short stay, Tommy Docherty, Graham Hawkins, all in the same period of decline, and Wolves first ever manager George Worrall have worse statistics!
No clean sheets in 19, 1 win in 17, who survives that? I'll tell you, no one!
The no clean sheets is the biggest factor for me. Obviously had great times under Nuno, but even when the footy became tough to watch, we at least were still not leaking goals. And the Lage regime had us defending ok most of the time as well. You can't win many games if you concede multiple goals every time out. In the last 17 league matches, we've allowed 1 goal or less only four times. But of those four matches, we got 5 points. Not a good enough rate to finish mid table but it's a good enough rate to survive. It all starts with strong play at the back and we don't have that. In part due to the stubbornness of trying a four man back line with RAN at LB and Semedo/Doherty at RB. And CBs not good enough to defend when there's only two of them. If GON wanted to move to a four man back line, he needed to change some personnel.
Became a tactical genius after his 15 minutes of fame on MNF regarding the win over Man City.
He changes tactics/positions for every single game.
It's no wonder the squad haven't got a f(cking clue what's going on week to week.
They are good players but look totally lost.
Yep, that's about it mate.
He's as good as gone anyway. Once you lose the away support it's only going one way. He won't be here by the start of December!
