No idea how accurate it is but I've just read on Twitter/X that Jodi left ML on crutches in an ankle support. Doesn't sound good if true

I really don't understand why he walked all the way around unaided and in clear discomfort. Modern physio perhaps but it was painful to watch and he could barely acknowledge the applause he was getting from the supporters. I guess he had a feeling of deja vu.

Not a good time to have a relaxation on physical contact - some clubs are going to push it, and us, to the limit.

It's like last season where we just don't pick up the points against teams that will be up there at the end of the season. Although to have a perfectly good goal disallowed and penalty turned down isn't helping matters!! A big few weeks ahead against other teams expected to be up there so lets see how we get on.

Or he was told to keep the weight on it and maintain compression ( which you would expect). And followed instructions!

Either way likely to be out for a few weeks I expect.

Dissapointed and bloody frustrated. Hope everyone got home/is getting home safely given the weather conditions.

Didn’t get any luck at all today, having seen it back the disallowed goal is a poor decision. We had plenty go our way against Grimsby and Bromley though, so it evens out.

Disappointing thing is we had the chances for it not to matter, got to score at least one of the three chances we have at 0-0 and then another one at the end. Performance was alright though, nothing to worry about. Think we get at least a point out of it if Jatta is available.

First half decent side we come up against & we lose. Predictable, really.

Ah well, at least we have some points in the bag.

We have lost one of the first seven. Averaging 2pts per game and not been outplayed by anyone. Today was a bad day.

We would have all taken this at the start of the season.

We are Notts County we move one

We created some good chances today in the first half in particular and on another day would have scored at least one or two. I thought that Bass made a couple of good saves as well in the first half.

I thought Gillingham were quite a robust side and were quite physical but had the quality when on the counter attack and when we were out of possession. You can see why they've only conceded two goals in seven games they do the basics of defending at this level well.

The Gillingham goal was a close call and thought my initial thoughts of 1-1 would play out.

The officiating was the poorest in some time for me today. Inconsistency with cards for fouls and basics such as the ball going over the line in the second half when Gillingham were on the attack going missed. Then the penalty that wasn't given for the foul on Brown in the second half. If the player is deemed to dive then it should be a yellow?

It was strange that the linesman waited so long after we scored to put his flag up for offside. I can't think of a time where it's been so long. If you know it's offside why not put the flag up straight away? Unless a referee on here can enlighten us?

We had enough good chances to win the game in the first half and it's that which ultimately cost us from getting something from the game.

It should not be doom and gloom though. We have 2 points a game that's automatic promotion form, one defeat in seven over a season is only six defeats overall. Achieve that and we will be right up there. Now the test will be is how we respond to this defeat. We have an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways against bottom of the table Morecambe next Saturday.

Ah well. We are still 'WIP' with all the new players and Stuart's first 'proper' season. Going to have games like that on occasions, especially in this league. Literally can't win them all! A good start to the season, points on the board, good feeling at the club.
It's all about how we react now. If we can set this one aside and go on another little run then that will be a more definite sign of progress to me.
Unlucky Notts. Now it's time to show real character and bounce back with a couple of good results. I believe we have it in us this season.
    Fingers crossed for JJ.
