As for Stewart's comments, I think it's a bit of an urban myth to suggest that he makes the lessons learnt comments every year, but if he does, maybe he's a slow learner (like many football supporters) and hasn't worked out that success on the pitch is ultimately largely determined by how much money there is to be spent.
A good coach would help because I can’t see anything in this team but launch it up & hope.

Thats because you dont want to see anything good. Since SE returned you and a lot of the clique on here have taken every opportunity to have a go. We get it - you dont like Evans but I'd say the vast majority are happy with his return. He has a proven track record - both with us and elsewhere. If you can name a better proposition that we could actually attract to the club, then lets hear it.

You'll see how many of the " vast majority " react very soon if this pathetic boring dissorganised on the pitch stuff dont start to deliver.

Silk purse from pigs ear quote comes to mind.

    Its been dire

You sound like you’re excited at the prospect of them failing! Same question - who better can we attract to replace Evans?

    Too tempting to ignore.

"Clique", "vast majority", what are you talking about?

I don't want Evans sacked, even though I didn't welcome the prospect of his return. As with Taylor we were promised so much, but the reality is (at the moment) little evidence of any of the raised expectations being realised.

What I would like to see is more evidence that there is some sort of plan/strategy and coaching to show how it's being implemented. We have seen recent signs of more football being played on the grass, but nothing to show how the best qualities of the forwards are being used to our advantage.

You keep repeating the mantra "name a better proposition" which really is quite pointless as there would be so many variables. Perhaps the "vast majority" realise that, which is why no one responds.

    I'd opted out because:
    1) It's a futile stand-off where 'better' options will be batted away, and
    2) If the best reason to keep a manager is because he's less sh1t than other options, the wrong discussions are being had.

Ok then - don’t opt out. Give me one of your “better” options and I will consider it. Or haven’t you got one?

Already said it's futile. Whoever anyone says gets batted away because of a specific item, ignoring the fact Evans in the same situation has many flaws. Off the top of my head, Schumacher, Lowe, Wild would all be conversations and are free agents, there are others in jobs that would be a good fit for one reason or another. All are younger than Evans by some way and would be better suited to a longer term plan than Evans will be.
