What I actually think is that there is a group of people on here who do want Evans and the current team to fail. Just read the first couple of pages of the match thread from yesterday even before kick off. I won’t quote - you can read them yourself. The vast majority of Rotherham fans are pleased Evans is back. It isn’t working at present - I’m convinced it will. In terms of alternatives to Evans - the current owner hasn’t got the aptitude or appetite for a long term project and neither the finances to attract a so called up and coming manager. So be careful what you wish for. There are plenty more Taylor’s out there

You will always get some supporters who for whatever reason won’t take to a manager. PW, MT were victims of this at times.
For me he is not understanding what supporters generally are booing about. We have no width it’s hoofball and more importantly it’s not working. The only way to stop the moaning is to win games he hasn’t helped with suggesting supporters didn’t know how good Birmingham were and only the management team did. He may well have loads of credit with the owner but fans are different the past is the past and he’s acting like he’s a legend who deserves better. Well Ronnie Moore was a bigger legend and he got judged differently second time around.
I was happy when he returned but he needs to start getting results.

You may or may not put me in your group of those that want Evans and the team to fail, well to be clear you are wrong on that if you think I am. I want us to win every game and I want Evans to achieve all the things he said when he was brought back and over the summer. I do not think he should be sacked and I do not think there are a lot of options if he were. For me none of the above is the issue, the issues relating to Evans are the things he says and the way he presents himself, to the outside world Evans is representing our club and so the man reflects on our club and therefore us as fans. A lot of people might not care about such things, and that is fine, but it annoys me.

The way that Odoffins contract has been dealt with is not good, if Evans wanted that sorted it would be, so that doesn't sit right for me. He gives a player that most of us can see should not be at the club the captains armband, that is a disgraceful decision. How does Rafferty feel about that, he was given the armband earlier this year, do they just pass it around like it means nothing, it should be earned and respected, if it isn't we have bigger problems.

In my opinion Evans isn't good with young players, they take a style of management that he is not capable of doing, the chances of bringing through our best young players or bringing in good young players from other teams is zero. Style of football isn't good, so many fans can see we need width and when we bring it on it changes the game yesterday, it has taken 8 games for SE and PR to see that. There are other things as well.

Now I hope we win our next two games and go on and do well and a lot of the issues become mild irritations, but until we start winning games Evans needs to think about what he says and not treat us like morons, because we are not.

The thing is regarding Haks contract is that you, or anyone else on here, has no idea what’s going on in the background. He might not want a new contract - why should he? If he thinks he can operate at Championship level and that being the case he’s better off waiting and being a free agent. Exactly the same happened with Ogbene. He gave us all the chat about wanting to stay but I know for a fact that despite many offers from the club he kicked them into the long grass.

The same for the captaincy - you don’t know the behind the scenes chat. Rafferty might not give a ****. You’re just looking for potential issue a when there is no evidence there’s a problem.

What is glaringly obvious is there has been hardly any investment in the playing staff. I’m pretty sure Evans expected to get the money from Rathbone. He didn’t and we have been left shorthanded in midfield. He’s also been left with the ****e Taylor brought in who are screwing the club over - Teihi, Nombe and Hughill namely.

Do you ever take other people's opinions on board or are you really Evans in disguise

Are you SE agent? Whatever anyone says you defend him and as others say you don't really read and understand the points made and avoid the points people make that you do not want to debate.
Odoffin, the situation is clear if we are to believe what Evans told us. NO OFFER HAS BEEN MADE because Evans said that. An offer was supposed to have been made on first week of September, because that is what Evans said in an interview, he then changed it to before Christmas. He also said that Odoffin wanted to sort his contract out, so unless Evans is lying or out of the loop what are we supposed to think?
Most of your arguments are, we don't have all the facts so we are not allowed an opinion, so if that is the way it works why are you allowed an opinion, and others are not?
You are correct Rafferty might have said he doesn't want to be captain, my real point is Hugill getting it is in my opinion a disgraceful decision, because Hugill shouldn't be here and isn't fit to wear the shirt.
Evans has said he is happy with the squad, he also stated the club agreed to sign players that he wanted but he said no.
Now it could be that Evans is a wonderfully loyal little employee that is protecting the big bad board from the fans anger at the lack of investment, but this is Steve Evans we are talking about not St Peter, he doesn't do anything that isn't in his interest.
Now I accept I base my opinions on what I read or hear in the press interviews or what I see when watching the games, this is not a perfect situation but like everyone else on here it is mostly what we have. This means what we all say is an opinion based on limited information, but we are still allowed to have it and it doesn't mean we want the team to lose and Evans fails, which is the allegation that you made.

Odoffin doesn’t deserve a new contract on this season’s performances. He’s been bang average at best like a most of the team who have been picked to play . That is my opinion for what it’s worth .

I thought you & your side kick NWC had said give them 10,15, 20 games before anybody dare judge them.Yep bang average but Odoffin probably the better bang average of the bunch.

Just giving an opinion on a player who’s not had a very good start to season like the team . Is it really that hard for you to understand someone opinions. You seem to spout plenty on here .

Yes, hard to understand any of your opinions because you keep changing the goal posts.
