No doubt a fair few heard the Morecambe commentators comments about DC? Apparently one of them spoke to DC when he was there and asked why he kept turning and holding onto the ball and slowing play down. He answered that he was too good for the rest of the players and they weren't in the positions he wanted them to be (sic). I did notice yesterday that he was doing a lot of arm waving and at one point Tsaroulla didn't know what to do for the best because DC had *******ed him the move before. It goes to show that we are still a work in progress as regards understanding player movement.

Interesting team selection if Robertson is fit to start on Tuesday. Neither Palmer nor Grant did enough yesterday but I daresay it’ll be Grant and Austin getting chopped with maybe Brown coming in as well.

I have seen the comments regarding Grant over the weeks and didn't really agree with them but he was poor yesterday without doubt.

He gives us the bit of aggression that others lack. I was surprised that Cundy replaced Macari in the starting line up, Ive not been too impressed with him so far..

I think that was to address the height that Morecambe had up front.
I’d have still played Macari personally.

Just a reminder that I'm still updating match and season stats on NCS-News website. Not had the time to write any real analysis last few games but the stats tend to tell their own story. The difference in the Gillingham and Morecambe games is quite startling. We clearly did enough to beat Gillingham but were too wasteful, We should have lost at Morecambe but somehow grabbed a point.

Why? It wasn't his brain that was injured. He wasn't particularly fast, skilful or tenacious before his injury. Just lacking match sharpness is all.

Agree no one can expect Palmer to be at it yet, he’s literally having his pre-season now and doing well really considering.
