It seems that this process is still hanging around and I am disappointed because I hoped that a new Government would actually deliver a more accountable Parliament. Very disappointed to see that things have not improved. Maybe MSM will waken up and realise that their duty to be impartial might actually be a better business plan.
Members of the public do not require any qualifications to be elected as an MP or an MSP.
They just have to represent the political party which is likely to win a seat in the General Election or Scottish Government elections.
In Scotland we have the crazy situation that people get elected as a List MSP depending on high up the list they are in their political party.
That is why Maggie Chapman is the Green list MSP for Dundee.
Earlier this week I read an article in the Scotsman website where Maggie Chapman had stated that the building of new roads in Scotland was the preserve of the Elite and most White Men.
She should be sacked for making a comment like this which in my opinion is in breach of the Race Relations Act.
We should only elect first past the post MSPs which would get rid of all the List MSPs including the useless Green MSPs.

73 constituencies, so only 73 MSP's. The Westminter, note spelling, has 37 Labour 9 SNP, 5 Liberal and 5 Conservative. 57 constituencies.

The benefit seems to be that the voters can choose who represents them. It doesn't make MP's better, whoever if they actually think about what benefits their constituencies it might encourage more rational decision making. For example, it must be madness to adopt policies that cannot gain the support of the electorate. Binning our North Sea fossil fuels is crazy imo. I have gas central heating and so will many households. How are we going to heat our homes in future?

Absolutely. It is appalling that sensible questions are not asked. How has Miliband managed to get where he is without a single investigation by MSM into his plans.

Scottish Greens MSPs have no interest in how people heat their homes as they are only interested in their own ‘crazy’ agendas.
At the Scottish Government elections in May 2026 there must be a concerted effort to get rid of all the Green list MSPs by ensuring that nobody votes for the Greens in the List vote.

Agree that having Green politicians seems to mean that we are shooting ourselves in the foot. Maybe having loads of coal and oil and gas still in the ground will benefit future generations of British people.

There was an article in yesterday’s Sunday Times newspaper which stated that Lorna Slater co leader of the Scottish Greens wants to bring in a law to tax incoming and outgoing private flights.
This will raise £21.5 million with the money being used to have cheaper fares on the Scotrail trains.
Yet another stupid idea dreamt up by the anti business and ‘out of control’ Scottish Greens.
Hopefully Swinney has the sense to tell Lorna Slater that she is no longer part of the SNP/Greens power sharing agreement and she can go take a hike.

Unfortunately the current generation of British people are paying a high price thanks to the tinpot ideas by ‘tree hugging’ senior civil servants at both Westminster and Holyrood.
We would have much cheaper electricity in the U.K. if we had continued building nuclear power stations which happened in France but the bampot SNP controlled Scottish Government have stated that no new nuclear power stations will be built in Scotland.
As far as I am aware energy policy and the building of new power stations in Scotland has not been devolved to the Scottish Government at Holyrood.

Why do you think it is a stupid idea? And can you explain why you think the Scottish Greens are in your words "out of control"

Islay there was a green nutcase in the paper this week defending Dundee lez zone by claiming it was needed as Dundee had tall buildings and wasn't windy to clear the fumes. 😄
