Telling jokes about tragedy situations may well happen between consenting adults with similar 'dark' humour, but that is completely different to publishing it to a public audience. His family may not deserve to suffer, but nor do families of anyone who has made shocking decisions with social media posts. The law may not be able to touch him, but his employer may well do and fair play if he loses his job. There needs to be personal responsibiliity taken for what crap people output to the public, and not just cowering behind the 'free speech' banner.
