There's not a lot of pleasing people. Not happy when losing, not happy when winning (and playing good football re the last post).

Bear in mind it's League One level we're talking about. Look at the English Premier League evert week, the self-proclaimed greatest league in the world. There are similar tactics, and most definitely the same mistakes every week down there. Players and managers in the football world are lemmings, they'll always follow everything others do, from cutting their socks, putting holes in the back of them, tattoos, the list is endless. Managers are always going to copy Pep in trying to play out from the back. May not always work, but a bit of slack should be cut. As before, top of the league and playing well.

I believe there are many reasons folk are not at Palmerston in their numbers at the moment. A couple of footballers playing it short at by kicks might be one of them but it'll be well down the list

Totally accept your point of view Threefivetwo along with Spike and Fatfan, - Queens are a million miles from last season, - and obviously I'm very grateful for that, - but I've always said as long as the players give 100%, - even if they get beaten, - I'll be happy. Saturday for me, was a 75% effort, - and if we had a midweek match, - I'd have applauded them for saving energy and potential knocks, but that's not the case, - and especially against 10 men we should have ripped them apart and taken four or five off them.

It's a minor point nonetheless, - but I'm pretty sure that exciting, attacking football with plenty of goals will bring back the fans.

So let me get this right jardi. We are 2.0 up against 10 men. We go all out to attack despite the game already being won. Then we push men forward as much as we can chasing a game that doesn’t need to be chased. And lo and behold the other team breaks and we are caught short and lose a goal. Then it’s squeaky bum time. Or start playing it long over the heads of our talented midfield players and missing out the strongest areas of our team that succeeds in them just getting sore necks by looking to the sky for most of the game.
Or do we keep the ball and go forward in a sensible manner and manage the game in a way there is no panic or lose any goals, such as what happened on Saturday.
If you are wishing the 1st option then thank god Peter has the only opinion that counts because for me he has got it right in almost every game. The fact we are top of the league is evidence of that

And one final say on the matter. If you watch the highlights you will see the amount of chances we had, particularly in the second half and also where the second goal comes from after the keeper knocks it out from the back to a full back. Just saying like 😂

Fatfan is looking for an argument! Any manager of any quality is fully aware of the importance of goal difference and with the opposition down to 10 men and your own team full of attacking and fast individuals, - it is simply crazy not to go for extra goals, - as you have the extra man to defend an unlikely break out from the opposition. High pressing ensures the team at 0-2 with 10 men are encamped in their own half. End of.

Jardi, they did go for it in my eyes. Mcintosh alone had about 4 gilt edged chances. I'm not going to lay into the boy too much as I thought he put himself about and linked play well but....... an in form striker would have taken a couple of those chances. There were other chances as well in addition to two full backs pretty much playing as wingers

Jardi I am certainly not looking for an argument. In no way can you describe any of my posts as being argumentative, however you seem to be annoyed with what I have said. Is this because I disagree with what you are saying? We are all entitled to our opinions and I like to think my opinions have a bit of evidence behind them. And like I said earlier, if you watch the highlights we created a lot of chances in the second half and played some lovely football. And although goal difference could possibly come into the equation, points win leagues and having as good as won the 3 points on Saturday then why take risks and start pushing everyone forward.
Just say we had lost 2 late goals to 10 men, what would be said then? I could almost guarantee fans would be up in arms. Whereas if we walked away with a 5.0 win, then it’s still just 3 points, but granted a slightly better goal difference. So for me your arguments against how we played are wrong and I’m with the manager on this one
