The only cup we will ever have a chance of winning and we are played 2 won 2 so that is very good.
On the players, pleased for Hugill he did well for 70 minutes he then seemed a little less interested. Holmes, Duncan, Bramall, McWilliams and Osong did well, very pleased the latter got his goal, he showed some lovely footwork at times, remember he has been injured recently as well.
We didn't look as good when powell went off, he really makes a difference to our midfield. Hull and hatton did ok as well. Phillips can't kick, Zak Jules error was very poor for a player of his experience.
Great result it is 3 on the bounce now.

This was the game to use wingers and it did us no harm at all. Both Holmes( very good game) and Hungbo (also a good game) took it to them. The link up play between Bramall (good crosses tonight) and Hungbo was very clever and slick at times, credit to both of them.

Hugill, get him the service and he'll score. He worked hard tonight and had to as Asong at times just wasn't linking up with him. Asong did slide the third in so credit to him for that but, he looks too slow for such a young lad.

Harrison Duncan - 16? . What a cool headed lad he looks. Overall, the team put the effort in and got their just rewards.
Highly surprised and was amazed at McWilliams tonight, as though someone flicked a switch on him and he showed us that's how he can play!
    More please.....

Jack Holmes - Best game for us tonight so far since he joined us. An Ollie in the making? Tenacious in the tackle, non stop driving forward, retrieving lost causes, just all and all out effort from this lad tonight. Does he deserve a start Saturday? Depends on the formation Evans plays but on that showing, he'd be on my team sheet already.

Was rather weird viewing tonight sat in the Family Stand and very low down pitch side. Can't say I'd sit there again.

3 wins in a row, definitely more please as we progress on to London Road on Saturday.

He put in a solid performance, but reminded me more of a young Ben Wiles rather than Ollie.

But yes, I believe he should start against Posh.

DM, why your clear negativity on Hugill? He worked his socks off tonight, yes he did slow down around 70-75 minutes as he was pure knackered. Does that to you sometimes when you're doing a two man shift. Osong was okay, wayward shots from way out, didn't always beat his man, yes he's young and raw and he'll get better with age but at times Hugill was doing all the work.

Even though he scored twice tonight, there's not a chance Hugill will start Saturday, Evans excuse, 'he's still knackered from Tuesday'. He's got his chosen two in C-H/Nombe, something Hugill won't overcome unless either one of them gets injured or suspended.

Cannot agree with you on Osong, he did a lot of work and has real skill, he has had no real game time, and is coming back from an injury, he is 18 years old!! He did great to go by two players in the first half and get a good shot on target and was unlucky with the curling shot in the second. You say Osong wasn't linking up with Hugill, it takes two and you have decided it is the 18 year olds fault not the experienced professional!! Perhaps it wasn't either and was just about them learning to play together. Both the front players did more work and looked more likely to score tonight than JCH has done in his last few performances, admittedly against a poorer opponent.

Got to look at what didn't work Saturday Odoffin & Teihi together in midfield & Wilkes & JCH both ineffective. Take from tonight what can improve that.

    Side at Peterborough 4-3-3

    Dawson

    Rafferty Odoffin Humphreys Bramall

    Mcwilliams Teihi Powell

    Holmes Hugill Nombe.

Know it's hard on McCart but that's football.

Their number 49, Travis Hernes, could be worth a look later.

I thought the same thing. Stand out player. Only 18 but already a leader.
