Fairs fair, he has 6 more home losses to accrue to equal last year's record and he wasn't sacked then.

It’s not particularly a defence of Brown anyway, I’d have liked to see him do more, just get why he looked frustrated. More a thing with how we’re playing - with one upfront you have to get people close to him, running in behind him etc and we’re not getting enough of it whether it’s the first team or reserves.
If he wants to earn a few games with the "proper players" then he needs to turn up when he should probably be leading by example. That's what you have to do when you are out of the picture. Looking frustrated and disinterested which I think we all agree on if I was Maynard he would make me either want to bench him again or send him back whence he came. I can't see him working out at all.

Good result for me, we are one step closer to exiting this farcical completion.

Agree. And there's little to no service to be able to score. Predictable patterns of play.

He isn’t even the manager by the way so what is your opinion on the recruitment team please as surely the shock should be RM to go to or is he Teflon in all of this ?

Our recruitment has been pretty poor really a few hits but the rest are unfit or injury prone rejects not exactly fair to bash Maynard with is it.

Langstaff has been replaced with Brown just let that sink in too.
I would say Langstaff was replaced by Jatta and Brown has replaced Morias.

We had a team made up of youngsters and others who need minutes playing against a much more experienced L1 team, who scored from two long range efforts. If they had put 5 or 6 past us I would be concerned but I won’t be losing sleep tonight.

We have at least learned something from last night's defeat.
Our reserve players are so bad that if they are needed, we would probably be better off sticking some traffic cones on the pitch.

    satire, surely?

Losing to a L1 team in a cup comp nobody cares about is going to have exactly zero bearing on his position.

Bass, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Robertson, Palmer, Crowley, Austin and Jatta all started Saturday. All of them nailed on or in contention to start against Chesterfield on Saturday.

Scott and Abbott not involved either. Abbott can be put with the 10 above. Scott was a slightly odd omission tonight but maybe not risked due to McGoldrick. Only a thought.

Imagine if any of the 10 who started Saturday played tonight and got injured. I guarantee those who’ve got an issue with the line up would’ve been all over SM for starting that player.
Scott wasn’t risked because he’s had a bit of a reaction after coming back from the groin injury (according to SM). Didzy’s the main player we need back for Saturday, though.

I don't think we can draw too many conclusions from last night's game in a meaningless cup competition - was good to see some of the youth players get a run out though. Was quite impressed with Adiefeh and M. Cisse when the latter came on.

Brown just did not look interested.
