Get the NHS app, you can book appointments on that or ring 111 NHS direct, all doctors have to reserve same day appointments for them

I came back from holiday with sciatica and I’m chomping my way through the British pharmaceutical industry’s finest products. A week ago I booked an appointment online via the NHS app but the earliest they had with any doctor was a wait of more that a fortnight. It’s not going away so I’ve booked to see a physio tomorrow. Anyone any better ideas without BUPA?

You have to ring our surgery at bang on 8am then after being questioned by the Gestapo they inform you the doctor will ring you later.

I decided to give it another go but this time give it some urgency about the symptoms and say that I’m willing to take an appointment sometime in the week…
No we don’t do that was the reply,phone up tomorrow and see if we can get you in,it’s ridiculous,the receptionist didn’t even ask about what was wrong with me so I could bullsh1t her,62 years I’ve been going there so I should be top of their loyalty scheme or summat
Oh yeah I was also on the queue to the receptionist for 40 minutes and spoke to her for two,I started in the queue at No.6 so the numbers don’t add up

Most private hospitals offer a GP service.. this one is £110. Apart from 111 which I have mentioned above, we have BARDOC… Bury and Rochdale Doctors on Call.. some faffing about but you can get a NHS Doctors appointment at a few local Health Centres.
