Turin
Boy, mine is boring compared to everybody else's (apart from travelling back to Nottingham to watch them).
The Fourth Round of the FA Cup at Ayrsome Park v Middleborough. I was only 16 and we ending up sitting in amongst all the Middlesborough fans - what a $h!thole! We got abuse all game - I don't think home and away fans who sat down were segregated then.
Raddy saved a penalty if I can remember correctly and the referee got 'Boro to take it again and they scored. I can't remember Notts having a shot on target and lost 2-0.
The only bonus was the trip home - it was all downhill from Middleborough.
Brescia by bus. There's a lot of bars in the square there.
Brescia, The opening of the Juventus Stadium in Turin beats everything hands down, what a 5 day break that was!
The away games at Mansfield.
It’s like travelling 20 years back in time every time I’ve been.
👍👏🤣🤣
These long trips mentioned, bring to mind accounts of stories from a couple of away games .
Former County Secretary , Chic Heath's son ,told me he flew with Notts to an away game at Workington !
Bearing in mind Workington were voted out of the FL in 1978..
At a neighbour's funeral, his son recalled flying to Newquay to watch Plymouth Argyle v Notts.
The deceased was a lifelong Notts fan and was a WW2 paratrooper.
He said his dad was quite anxious about landing and grabbed his son's arm tightly.
The lad said " I thought you were a paratrooper ?" Dad replied he certainly was but had only ever jumped out of aeroplanes, never landed in one !"

The furthest I've travelled was to meadow lane to watch us play Rochdale in the munto season.
I was travelling for work and found myself in Plymouth that Tuesday morning. Had to check in to a hotel in Taunton before making the journey to notts.
Watched us win (but missed the hughesy goal as needed the toilet) then travelled back down to Taunton. Had to be in Exeter for 8am.
My dad still reminds me about the missed goal, but it sure was great beating rochdale.
