Stats have us evenly matched, nice to come away with a point away against a decent team.
Would have loved a win but predicted a loss so can't complain!

A very good point, we move on.

A deserved point but disappointing second half from Notts.
Definite penalty following two hand ball offences but eventually awarded.
Ref almost gave Chesterfield a helping hand penalising Didzy for Colclough diving at the end. No contact whatsoever but after applying an advantage then brought it back for a home free kick.
Too many risky back passes which could have given Madden a further two goals.
Jatta , Platt , Bedeau and Abbott the pick for me.
Dan Crowley not at his very best but the victim of many cynical fouls.

They'll almost certainly be in the top 7 at the end of the season so it's a good result but we now must start winning at home. Definitely wouldn't rule out a Notts v Chesterfield play off match again.
Yeah, would say a draw is a fair result today and I'll defo take it.
Looking at the table, most teams at the top end have lost 2 or 3 games like us...its gonna be tight this season. With last year's top 3 out of the equation, it could be anyone's.
Good point. Just need to win at home.
I'm not so worried about playing two up front away from home, because our current set-up probably suits a counter-attacking game and results away have been good, but at home we definitely need an extra striker. At Meadow Lane, opponents come to defend and we need to take the initiative and switch a defensive midfielder (most likely Robertson) for a forward. We saw against Gillingham and Port Vale that we just didn't have enough natural striking talent in the box to beat a packed defence.
Like I said last week, this reminds me of the Keith Curle era. His 4-2-3-1 formation away from home worked well, but at home he needed to make a simple switch to a 4-1-3-2 and he never did. Hopefully, Maynard will learn from the last two home games and not make the same mistake, because our away results are giving us a great platform on which to build.
Goldie said been a tough few days for him & family. Has he lost someone?
