So…on the plus side, it’s another point in the bag and, after a frankly dismal first half performance, well done PW…something you said appeared to wake them up.
We should also be pleased that we at last have a bench from which we can introduce players that do make a difference.
Further than that…a disappointing performance that could easily have seen us go in 2, or even 3-0 down at half time.
Too many underachievers and too little joined up thought, let alone passing, for me last night, but, having seen very little of them this season, I thought Osborn was a rare beacon of light and Zetterstom needs to spend the rest of the week working on his distribution and kicking which was very poor…still, as I said…another point and that’s the main thing.
P.S. Thought the referee was awful…not biased just some ridiculous bookings.
Lackustre first half. Why didn't PW get the message to them in the opening 45 that they needed to up the pace, put some urgency into it? Why wait till half time to gee them up?
Better 2nd half, which wasn't a difficult thing to achieve. By the end, we'd had more shots, more shots on target but a draw, roughly, was the right outcome for both sides, I can't, however, help thinking that "een beetje peper in hun reet" in the first half would have seen us win 3 points rather than the feeling I now have that we lost 2.
NML may have had an excuse having been away, 2 games for Guatemala and the long flights involved but he looked sluggish. Couldn't go with his man so gave up the ghost and pointed at Kenzo to go get him. Before he could get there, the cross came in and it was well put away to give the U's the lead. I would rest NML for the Hull game. Allow him the time to properly recover from his Guatemaling.
a decent draw, especially after the 1st half performance. Picked up 2nd half
3 pts Saturday please
That's the key Sith, without some away wins under our belt there is continued pressure to produce the goods at home! Even a few home draws will make the fans tetchy and leave Warne getting some grief.
Another point away but three was possible and we need to take every opportunity to grab what points we can. Warne needs to step on a few toes to remind the players that 90 plus minutes of effort and commitment is the bottom line in this league.
We can do better, indeed we must do better.
I watched and a draw was a fair result as predicted.
Any point away from home is a result.
You won't go down, I have seen far worse teams than you in that division. Though the football was dire at times and teams like Leeds are miles apart in quality from Derby and Oxford.
December could kill you though, as just like my lot, you play all the better teams.
The Champs really is as bad as the prem now, with the top third and the rest making up a division.
Agreeing with a number of points, especially Zetterstroms awful distribution and NMLs lethargy. Also, despite having a better game, CBT looked at best unhappy, at worst angry.
