Anyway, while the dust has sort of settled since Wednesday. What’s everyone’s thoughts?
I personally think we are taxed too high on everything and this is covering the mismanagement of previous governments.
The problem with these rises is that they don’t really say how long it will be for or give any hope that taxes will fall back down? Unless i’ve missed it.

Come on Mick, give us your views.
I just wish that she had been honest and not hidden behind words. ‘I won’t tax the working man.’ What the devil does that mean? Aren’t small business owners working men and women. In fact they probably work harder than most to keep their businesses afloat and they have been hammered. In my opinion it will prove to be counter productive. All these initiatives that they propose are commendable but where is the money coming from? Borrowing again! This is the mess that the Tories had to sort out after the previous Labour government.

Let’s be perfectly clear about this. It’s no good Labour claiming that the pandemic is an excuse for mismanagement. The pandemic was the biggest financial problem since the Second World War and on top of that we have the war in Ukraine. How would Labour have dealt with it?

I’m not claiming that the Tories were perfect, far from it. However, I don’t think that their policies were all wrong but it was too much sleaze, infighting and individuals that were the main problem. The Labour Party state that they want to bring honesty and integrity back into politics, I don’t think that there has been too much honesty in this budget.
