A blast from the past that. An air of inevitability about it from the kick off. Our midfield were very pretty but didn't get much moving forward. In fact in the first half they left a hole about 20-30 yards out that D&R continually took up positions in. They were always the ones who looked like scoring in the 1st half. Only a 5 minute spell in the second half saw us on top but D&R just got bodies in the way. We kept trying to get around them but crosses were continually underhit.
Knight-Lebel had his worst game in a Crewe shirt, unable to make decisions and underhitting forward passes. Connolly showed his Chesterfield form and went to pieces.
Bogle, when he came on, didn't look like the player who'd come on in the previous 2 games as every time he touched the ball, it ran away from him.
So, one of those bad days at the office. As long as the problems are sorted for next week!!
