In the long run, this may be the kick up the arse the Dems (and the left in general) need to bring them back from the brink of madness. A wake up call of sorts. The sheer arrogance to think they could just choose a black woman as their candidate and that would be enough, regardless of her ability or credibility. That they could just pay rotten A-list celebrities to talk at her rallies and that would be enough. That people would vote for more of the same managed decline of a once great country - and calling the opposition Hitler would be enough.
Again, I'm not a fan of Trump by any means, but the Dems are rotten to the core.
I might be wrong and I definitely stand to be corrected, but I doubt there is one person in the USA that would care less about what you say. You say that you run a business, but your views are so far left wing, I find it extremely hard to believe. Unless you’re business is printing the Red Flag newspaper. Thank you Comerade.
Yeah great post slack, fully agree with you. "Get me a glass of water " Obama was never any good, now looks like a sour loser.
Haven't the Tories just done the same thing? This really isn't about the left. Listen to what Bernie Sanders has to say about the current state of the Democrats. You might remember him as a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for 2020 before Biden pushed him out of the way with the help of powerful friends.

I do hope it's a wake up call for them on several fronts, but none of the top democrat people I've heard or read speaking about her selection said anything like the above.
As I mentioned the day they nominated her, she does have 21 years relevant experience, which is 21 years more than Trump had when he was elected and 17 more than he has now. Any criticism of her qualifications or experience from the right is pure hypocrisy, as was their criticism of Biden's age or mental capacity, given they've elected Donald "THEY'RE EATING THE DORGS" Trump, and as predicted, never once mentioned age again after Biden's withdrawal.
A big factor Harris's nomination, unfortunately, was the lack of time. There wasn't time to do a primary properly, or time to build a campaign apparatus or start raising money from scratch. And given that Harris was already on Biden's ticket, all of his campaign finance and organisation could be transferred over to her - and no other candidate, legally - immediately.
I think if Biden had stepped back from running again at all, and they'd run a legit primary, they'd have had more of a chance. Still pushing it uphill because of the prevailing economic conditions, which are bad for incumbents everywhere.
Yeah, they've chosen a black woman to lead them, but not because she's a black woman (although the fact she isn't yet another ex-Eton/Oxford toff is a pleasant change). Whatever you think of her views, she's articulate, smart, and seems a ruthless competitor. She also has clear and consistent views. Kamala was/had none of those things.
What Bernie Sanders said confirms a point I mentioned early that the Dems have become the party of the establishment and liberal metropolitan elite, not the working class. They are totally out of touch with the average American. I hope the Harris debacle makes them realise they need to refocus. I don't necessarily align with Bernie Sanders' politics, but at least you know what he stands for because he has clear and consistent views. What the hell did Harris stand for? What was she offering? I couldn't tell you. Yet somehow she managed to blow a billion-dollar budget on a campaign about nothing.
