It’s not about promotion it’s about the total lack of anything remotely acceptable.
Get him gone. I’m not emotional I’m seeing what’s evident he’s not what we need on and off the field

I agree there’s a conversation for what’s happening at the club internally but that’s for another thread.
YAK, sentiments apart as the football of late is dire but, sack him then who do you bring in next? Don't forget a new Manager will have to work with is lot of under performing misfits so what will that achieve? The issue is the likes of Hugill et al need to be shown the door in January taking a few more with him.

Evans is not all to blame, although he is a different Steve Evans from last he was here?? The big thing is, he doesn't kick the ball the players do! Who knows if it's a player power issue down at NYS. One things for sure, it's toxic, it's wrong, we the fan are not being entertained for our money we spend to watch them and it wants sorting and quick! I still say sacking Evans is not the answer after only 15 games pal.

This won’t be popular but sacking Evans now isn’t the way forward. I’ll mirror Stancliffes point on the team not gelling as quickly as we all thought it would.

Clearly of the 14 players brought in, a fair quantity are duds! Who do you blame for that? Top, middle or bottom of who makes up recruitment?

I say give Evans the January transfer window to move on those not worthy of wearing the shirt, we all have our thoughts on who they are, and bring in new players. Not popular I know but I said pre season, a mid table finish would do the first season and I still think that’s where we will finish. All the hype and demand of instant promotion is and never was achievable this season.
Why was promotion never achievable this season Brin? PW managed it as a rookie manager when he was thrown into the job with a poor team which was always going to be relegated from the championship. He put together a squad of players that took about 3 months to really gel and we went up via the play offs the following season. SE isn't a rookie manager and I have absolutely no idea of how he wants us to play at all at the moment, we have got some decent players but the timespan to start seeing us gel has all but disappeared and the clock is ticking. As for moving players on, that is easier said than done as any player under contract who doesn't want to leave they won't, but I don't want SE sacked and I do agree he needs at least this next transfer window to try and address things. Would it be fair to say Evans was hired and a huge amount of players recruited in the summer with one aim and one aim only and that was to get promoted back to the championship this season .

I don't sense this was some type of project thing with a longer term view .

No more transfers for Evans because when he fails some poor buggers got to get rid of them, so that puts us another season behind playing catch-up.

Ronners, don't mind replying my friend. For me, the 'Steve Evans' back in town feel created a buzz amongst fans and probably whipped up a frenzy rekindled from yesteryear and the P word started flowing amongst some of our fans. Stewart then mentions it and then Evans himself talks of being thereabouts come the Xmas period, a new transfer window and to him ' you know what happens next'. All the wrong words and thoughts to cheaply band about, expectations falsely raised amongst the fans and look what's happening now.

Moving 17 players out and bringing 14 players in doesn't guarantee instant success. We've now seen some are offering a poor return and this requires addressing. On the other hand, what Warne achieved, (brilliant), was with different players, different times and a different set of opposing teams at the time. I agree that Evans isn't a rookie Manager whereas Warne would have been full of energy, enthusiasm busting a gut to prove himself. Has Evans lost the drive and ambition? I don't think so. The fire is still there, you can see the hurt but he doesn't help himself with his post match interviews. Plus his touchline antics are cringeworthy at times.

At least we are in agreement on Evans being allowed the transfer window

Really cant understand anyone defending him🤔

Hes wasted a fortune on has beens, got rid of better players, dragged the standard of football to something we havent seen for years, wants more money no doubt to bring in more duffers, sees the game completeley different to so many others, tactically no clue, fans in decline as will be attendances etc etc etc

Yet some on here think he should be given more time ?????

Guys were in the complete 💩 for foooks sake wake up

animallittle3, you're probably right. Instant return, move him on, bring in someone with a younger, more energetic application with modern playing ideas but, so far it ain't going that way!

I don’t think any of us wanted us to be in this position but we are.
I didn’t want MT sacked because we played some good stuff at times. You could see that at times we looked capable although I understand we had some bad performances.
But there is nothing at all to hang your hat on absolutely nothing with SE it’s just poor after poor game. He won’t acknowledge that he’s part of the problem.
I can’t see anything than him leaving so let’s just get it done.
I’m not sure who we bring in Robins no chance he will come here.
It’s staggering how far back we’ve gone.
