TS's track record on management appointments is very poor and he is unable to attract a decent young manager,so nothing will probably happen and Evans stays. The club needs a clean sweep,we are so unprofessional in everything we seem to do.

This appointment has failed thus far way beyond anyone's expectations other than selling season tickets but because there seems to be no real threat of relegation I think the decision at the moment will be to just bob along.
Bob along and rebuild in January. It is dire to travel and watch at the moment though but, we are Millers we've been here before.

It's not good but things will change. We will not be relegated we've enough to see that off.

.....rebuild in Jan??........surely it's better to build a team in the summer? ...and by who, SE? He's had all summer to build a team, and we saw that last night. He's rubbed them up the wrong way too many times to get any urgency from them.

This "moving players on", players from previous managers, and some of his signings what haven't worked. Just how do we manage that when they have good salaries and a contract at NYS? If you was Hugill, how would the club "move you on" knowing that you probably won't get a comparable wage anywhere else? Remember Blackstock and Schofield who both milked the club, why didn't we "move them on"?

Eaves ‘moved on’ how did the club manage that? He must have been on a big wage not too dissimilar to Hugill. Every player is moveable at some level.

He and the board did what was necessary and they must have gambled to a degree to realise championship football for NYS.

But then they stopped supporting the project, probably because they saw how much money is required to be sustainable in there, just doing the bare minimum without risk.

Warney was a very lucky appointment for them, which initially was a gamble as they preferred him to the mess of managers we'd had previously after Evans cost us a fortune with how scattergun management.

That ex Wolves manager walked in, saw the books and the bull**** he'd been fed and walked in 7 days!

Look at the actual championship players we've had on loan but refused to pay for, Tavs and Dickho? - the former we should have tied down that very night after Wembley.

Let's not get all starry eyed over NYS because it is not ours, it is owned by another company of which Tony Stewart is the owner. It is not an Asset owned by Rotherham United Football Club.

The board have given up. They know we've reached our ceiling unless mass £s is thrown at it which they're not prepared to risk.

Rotherham United have always and will be unless we get foreign loony investment a L1 club when you scrape away all bull**** and dont swallow the crap from 2 excellent salesmen in TS and SE.

The only difference between now and 1990 is that we play in a different rented home and have 8000 season ticket holders instead of 4000. That number will fall dramatically. Any increase from 4000 you can probably attribute to the fact in 1990 you had to pay your season ticket up front, that was the point.

What sickens me the most is the missed opportunity, it was missed the 1st season in the Championship, it was then the board should have sought to increase its size and investors. Had we done that we'd be a Preston with an extended NYS pulling in 15,000 every week that makes you a sustainable championship football club not only financially but players your want to sign take you seriously!
    Spot on 👏

A very accurate assessment and it will be interesting to see what statement comes out of the club this week. There is much discontent over the lack of ambition and the natives are showing their disapproval and if nothing is done it will get worse.
