What do we need in the January Window.

After many years of Dychball, we were treated to a season of brilliant football under Kompany, which led to us being promoted to the premier league. Most if not every claret supporter was enthusiastically waiting for our season in the premier league and probably so was the team who won us promotion to that league.
Unfortunately, the club decided that those players where not suitable for the EPL and brought in what they considered EPL standard players. The season turned out to be a disaster, not only on the pitch but also managing to alienate some of players who gained our right to play in the EPL.
Following our relegation a number of our supporters thought we would walk the championship this season.
However, after our relegation back to the championship it is understandable some of the players who won the championship and were discarded by Kompany, wished to leave and I don’t blame them. Then of course there was the so called EPL quality players whose ego’s thought they were too good to play in the championship, although they were the ones who got us relegated.
When Parker arrived, we had to rebuild yet again, and a lot of the blame must be attributed to Pace as he was completely taken in by Kompany’s so called vision. Pace could have insisted the following our promotion to the EPL those who had achieved that promotion were given the chance to step up to the task of the EPL. This is however hindsight and does not help out our current campaign. Parker has formed a reasonably solid defence but need to identify some attacking / goal scoring options in the January window if we are to make a challenge to return to the EPL.
While I was less than enthralled with the appointment of Parker, he has been dealt a poor hand as far as goal scorers are concerned. We need two strikers one being a natural poacher such as, Ings and Austin were, and someone who can win the ball in the air. So lets see what January brings.

Problem is 72 EFL managers are all looking for the same type of player.

If Foster was not such a mard arse half of the problem would be solved.

Hard to find what you need in January, but what we really don't need is Ollie McFeckindonkey.

For me I’d like us to get an identity and play / or buy players around that - I don’t think Parker knows how we are strongest playing at the minute / it hasn’t helped our only real centre forward injured for a long period .

Just can’t see how we are meant to play tbh - we have decent footballers but I think Parker is stuck a bit really ie Sarmiento playing 10 but behind another no 10 as we don’t have a focal point forward

So I’d like a decision on are we playing up to a big lad who holds the ball up for width and midfielders arriving at pace or a tricky power and pace that goes through channels or over the top to worry defences- we do neither at the minute it’s a bit lame.

We could realistically lose Koleosho amd Trafford so a chunk of money coming in I’d like to have a proven goal scorer and build a system around that after watching Morgan Whitaker he’s not the answer.

If you really want my opinion I’d but a left back who can bomb on and defend ( sound s like Roberts wants away at right back and or too much money to stay ) I’d buy Swansea right back from Sunday offered all game for them pace to get away from Koleosho- decent.

I’d play Hannibal in front of back 4 deeper with Anthony and Sarmiento width then Lauren or Cullen depending on opposition and either Brownhill or Fleming at 10 and a striker ( foster will be ok as long as you lot don’t want 20 goals of him ) if you do we need to buy a goal machine ( not cheap ).

I’d rather have Worral than Egan Riley ( he’s done very little wrong tbh ) but worral is a proper centre back a leader and attacks the ball at both ends.

Egan Riley is the future, Worrall is a washed up has been who should have been left in Nottingham.

Parker probably didn't realise how good CJ actually is, I don't think any of us have

Who would you bring in to manage, and what makes you think he would have improved us?

If the first two games were like everything since and we scored perhaps 1 goal in each, we'd have scored 11 goals in 15 games which would be joint worst in the league.

Teams with a lot less talent are producing a lot more going forwards, and that lies at Parker's door. If i were Pace i'd be telling him things need to shape up by Xmas.

If he is going to persist with the current formation, we need at least 4 in to have any chance of staying in the mix.

2 Strikers and two wide men.

I’ve never known anyone lose the ball as much as Koleosho and my Cat is physically stronger than Anthony…

To be honest though, I just can’t see Parker lasting as our manager very long. He may have got a stay of execution with Sunday’s lucky win. But it’s been absolutely awful to watch so far, if it carries on I can’t see anyone wanting to pay good money to watch it
