I was in an Irish themed pub in Krefeld Germany to watch Ireland beat Italy 1-0 during the 1994 World Cup in the USA and there was dancing everywhere back then too, even from us squaddies.

Ray Houghton scored the winner, the free shots of Bailey's, Jameson and Bushmills on the house on top of copious amounts of Guinness and Kilkenny definitely helped with the disco legs 😉.

I really dislike these international breaks and do not like and can?t be assed watching a competition that, in my view, is worthless. The Euros and World Cup are great. Mickey Mouse competitions like the Nations League mean nothing and I fail to see what they bring.

It's probably worth remembering this Mickey Mouse competition has a direct influence on our rankings and seedings for the World Cup and Euros. We need to take the Nations League very seriously.

I don?t like them either. Two of our lads might be on show though so I?ll enjoy watching them. It messes the season up with stopping momentum?s which is irritating. The trouble with changes these days they tend to make things worse not better.

Molumby had a decent game but the penalty and down to ten men changed everything. Looked uninjured more importantly. Mikey never got on the field but it looked like they were set up to defend.

Quite a boring watch up until the red card, nice of their lad to tip the Scales in our favour.
