Although saying that I think I know it. Do as you're told, never disagree, ask no questions and never argue.
If Nelms wanted to give Jim Thomson a special recognition award he should have given him the award in the Dens Park boardroom when Jim Thomson retired as General Manager to be replaced by his protege Greg Fenton.

I'd love to see the reasoning too, it's a bizarre choice. I haven't kept up with who has been inducted over the years. Is this the first non playing or football management inductee? Did we not induct Eric Ferguson the ex physio some time back? Imo such awards as Hall of Fame should be kept to the playing and football management side.

At least directly involved with the football side of things would be my first requirement for this. JT is / was just an administrative employee and has never even entered the field of play in any capacity to represent the club.

    Truly bizarre nomination.

You can Google the members of DFC Hall of Fame quite easily. Several categories. Legend, International, Historical etc but every one has a nice bio of their contribution to the club. I don't know anything about the Most Respected, apart from the comments on here.
You are right about Eric Fergusson.

Eric deserved it as he was part of a team, and while a member of that team he went to 2 World Cups (at least) with Scotland.

Most respected on the other hand is part of a clique, isn't keen on Dees (I suspect it's more working class Dees) and doesn't seem to be able to organise the moving of a supermarket trolley. Not HOF material
