If he is being kept fit to be sold then fine but to be honest, I also doubt that :|
We all choked at ?15million for Chris Wood, he was a major factor in us staying up.

You're probably right. TBH Anything is better than nothing.

Eddie's response when asked about Wilson and if there's a chance he could be offered a new contract:

?Of course there is. Callum?s got outstanding qualities."

Now, this could be him just bigging him up but, if we do, it'll be hugely remiss of us to do so, imo. His injury record is appalling and, if we keep his wages on the books, we're not going to be in the maket for a decent replacement. He'll be a year older, too, and, combined with his large periods of inaction, will more than likely be a lot less effective. And that's before you factor in his inevitable injuries.

Let him go in the Summer when his contract expires. If we get anything at all for him in January, we'll be extremely lucky.

No animosity from most of the fans, there are always a section who are just hatful, they obviously have personal and mental issues which they transfer to the club and players due to haven't no life and being devoid of personality.

This made me laugh (from Raga?s post, above). Probably quite true though.

I think he can?t really say anything else. Even so, I bet Mitchell isn?t thinking this and the only worry is to avoid friction between Howe and Mitchell. TBH I?d put my trust in the transfer market more with Mitchell even though I love Eddie.
I just think Eddie wants a family of players and wants to coach what he has to get better. All good but we need new players who are of a better standard in some positions (obviously with the right personalities too).

Yes...I think it's one of his qualities-his loyalty to players- that can be seen as a positive but it could be argued that it holds us back.

Dummett, Ritchie, Miggy, Murphy (albeit to a lesser extent), Wilson (for different reasons) should all have been shipped out ages ago. An elite manager-which I genuinely believe Eddie could be-has to be more ruthless, unfortunately.

Is that something he can learn? Force himself to be?

I don't think they'd still be around if we had the financial ability to act in the market as required. Yes he's loyal but what is he gonna say when asked that question?

"Cal? New Conni? Don't be daft, we've already got a tea boy, Fella spends more time on the canvas than Picasso, we'll be getting shot asap. Top lad but made of glass. Stealing a living!"

He won't get a new contract.

I'd have pissed myself if he'd said that

I really hope he doesn't get a contract. If he does I think it'll send the wrong sorts of messages.

If we can't sell him then we let go on a free with our thanks in the summer.

I really don't think anyone at the club is short sighted enough to think that is a good idea.

I guess it does all depend on where we finish in the league. Quite simply if we finish top 4 Wilson is gone.
