Whatever the reason it was a car crash of a game for us. The team worked so hard to get back to back wins then throw it away against a team like that at home. Big questions need asking.

This was always a banana skin, they have a good team let?s not forget that, but we were hopeless, roll on January, and shake the squad up a bit, we missed the big man on Monday night.

I'm a winner, what can I say hahaha winners don't take days off.

Or, they're sat in an airport departure business lounges with over an hour of free time on their hands in a bad mood at the shyt match they've just witnessed.

Agree with a lot, but some things?

It?s Palace next, not Liverpool? which is good for us? I hope!

I think West Ham played well, they were far better organised defensively and Paqueta was class.

I agree we lacked any pressing game, they were the ones on us whenever we got the ball.

Our tactics (if you can call it that) seemed to be attempting numerous through balls and hoping it paid off? it nearly did, but Isak was offside? but 95% of the time the lass never made it through? which isn?t a surprise as it?s not something easy to pull off? but other than that, we seemed to have f**k all plan A and zero plan B? again? which is all on Howe? so he doesn?t escape criticism.

Gordon showed why he isn?t a striker, he needs time and space to control his approach to get his eye in for a goal (imo)

Our midfield looks weak? I think there?s a time and place playing Willock and Joelinton like that, but given where we have results it is where there is an opposition who will go for it. They ran through our midfield at will? maybe that makes Paqueta look better than he actually is.

    Gordon was anonymous
    Longstaff was non-existent

Thought Big Joe played decent, he put a lot of effort in but was dragged about all over covering others so left a gap that was exploited at will it seemed.

Ah Palace away first. Well, that's gotta be a win. I guess they'll come out and play so we should get chances.

As you point out. We can't beat teams who just sit back and park the bus. Brighton beat us at home and that's the blue print a hopeless West Ham copied to embarrass us.

Gordon got smashed early by Wan Bissaka who seemed to be a thorn in the side all night. Joelinton should have been LCM to add steal to smash the midfield 3 and protect Gordon. He didn't want it at all after he took that hit. Had Joelinton repaid AWB with a big hit of his own Gordon would have been emboldened.

We needed creativity not legs to break down the opponent at home Tonali should always start of Longstaff as team don't come to play they come to defend and Tonali is levels above in terms of technicality.

At the end of the match we had subbed off

    J. Willock
    Bruno Guimar?es
    S. Longstaff
    A. Gordon
    Joelinton

Great to see we have enough to rotate those guys out but how do you hope to win a match with 4 of your best first team players off the pitch?

    Just shyt shyt shyt

That was kind of performance that can get you result at home against mid-table or weaker teams - we push it from the start, shove one in, then sit it out and get the second. The point is we didnt score and it worked the other way.

Kelly disappointed me, he turned his back to the ball too soon. And then was the episode few minutes later when he did the same. I think next time he plays someone will try to get past him faking the shot.

And also - the part that worries me - we dont have playmaker type of player. Bruno gets fouled way too much. Looks like the opposition knows that they need just stop him with professional foul, no yellow, they regroup and then we just pass it around penalty area.
We used to have Trippier on the right who was dictating the tempo, Tino is great player, but he gets the ball forward with his runs
Yeah Kellly was shyte absolutely unacceptable performance for a man on his salary.

Bruno either needs to be playing higher up the pitch as a 10/8 position Odergaard style rather than a 6/8 Pirlo role. Or we need to being in an Advanced Play Maker, Cherki or someone like that. A player who can unlock a defence either with a pass or a dribble. We need to force more penalties when teams are just going to turn up and park the bus.

Cowards need to be punished and we have to put clubs to the sword when they come to SJP

Haha well I had a 'minor misadventure on a flight to Paris' shall we say, haha, a few years ago which may or may not have been heavily fueled by the delights of the Business lounge at Hamad Airport and later on the flight itself.

My colleague, with whom I was travelling, was astonished that the Gendarmerie weren't waiting for me at the air bridge. He was sure I was getting arrested. OOOOPS!

Fortunately I dodge that bullet and disembarked with a headful of regret and overwhelming sense of embarrassment, however I one thing I didn't have (other than my dignity) was my phone!

I'd left it in the cubby on the plane. This led to me enjoying the onsite of the hangover in Charles De Gaulle customer service desk in the brutal morning sunlight. My Colleague was really proud of me! So that altercation was the last time I got 'festive' before a flight. hahaha

Flying back in to Qatar was a nervous one. I was expecting to have questions to answer. Fortunately the CSD (Customer Service Manager) - The senior Cabin member on Qatar Airways she (usually a lady) wears a Grey outfit where as the F1s, F2s, etc wear burgundy, had played down the situation in her write up.

When I got back to the office I wrote very long and glowing report of all the staff on my out bound flight, commending them all on their excellent customer service. I don't remember much about that flight but I know that they must have been seriously pi$$ed off at my antics.

However I do love Hamad Business lounge A la Carte food available top top quality. It deserves it's reputation as either the best or 2nd best airport in the world, it's generally a battle between Hamad and Changi Airport Singapore which is also great.

Well this one got well off piste! haha
