The quality of our players is a long way off those we have had in previous season's but, if certainly not a team that would do well in the Premiership, we don't have a bad squad for the Championship.

I was initially worried with our defensive injuries but the recent back four have proven themselves. Holgate has done better than I'd anticipated and both Heggem and Styles are an improvement on what we had before. Going forward, Grant has impressed this season, Maja is a more natural goal scorer than weve had for a while and Fellows seems to be getting over his dip in form. If Johnston can do the same, our forward line is not too bad.

I agree with others that we do miss having a more creative midfield player but whilst it's only right to acknowledge his achievements, it's also hard to disagree with those criticising Corberan's style of play. The Norwich game was more enjoyable because it was more open and less tippy-tappy than the normal fare but even then the set up not to lose rather than aim to win mentality took over with the substitutions.

If I'm watching a game, far too often it is clear that we do not get players forward quickly enough and not in numbers and, if I'm listening to WBA radio commentary, AJ continually makes the same point.

May be great not to concede goals and not to lose games but only goals win matches and only wins will get us into the play offs.
