Another draw and Quelle surprise eh? One goal is never enough but having got the early lead against an average team we should have pushed harder for that second goal in the first half. Credit to Preston for coming out like they did second half but we allowed them to dominate the game for far too long and almost inevitably get their equalizer. Thought bringing on Molumby and Styles helped to break that domination but with the closing stages seeing the game become far more open why, oh why take a proven goal scorer like Maja off for Wallace?

Unfortunately Boingy, confidence comes with a state of mind. I am convinced that we do have ability but we set up far too cautiously and that inhibits any attacking flair we have. As I have said previously, we have a mid table team led by a mid table manager and that's where we will finish unless we have a change of approach.

You are bang on there Tipp! Taking off Maja for legless Wallace tells you everything. Don?t get me going about Dobbin starting!

I can see us in mid table after our next fixture at home to Sheffield United. I don?t know if it?s the tactics, selection, lack of ability, a mental problem or a combination of all these. Something has to change, and quickly.

Who picks the team? Who brings on the subs?

Tipp has summed it up very well. No doubt there will be a comment about Preston being another Barcelona!

I wasn’t at today’s game but apparently we were very good in the first half but poor in the second. For those who were there, was it us sitting back again and trying to hold out for the win? If it was, it just emphasises the fact that it must be the tactics!

    I watched via ifollow.
We more or less shaded the first half. Towards the end of the 45 Preston were dominant.

Heckingbottom knew what he had to do. He made changes, they came out fired up and it was a matter of time before they scored. They looked the most likely to score again for the next 15 minutes. However we dug ourselves out but although we had decent possession we didn't really threaten their goal.

Then the usual subs: Maja, Fellows, Mowatt, Racic off. Johnston, Styles, Swift and Wallace on.

The game petered out in the usual fashion.

Teams worked us out long ago. If we score we sit back and invite pressure. We inevitably concede. Rinse and repeat.

Time for a change, cautious Carlos running out of ideas, terrified to lose, no intent attacking wise to win a game for the ump****th time, Dobbin 🐴🐴 starting then Maja off for Wallace says it all
Mark Robbins could lose and find Corberan any day
