As I said, he clearly is an excellent shot stopper but I hate to think what the Slocombe haters would have been saying if he'd made those mistakes. Some fans forget that he has also made excellent saves over the years but also has made some errors, as all keepers do, including Bass
In my honest opinion for what it's worth Bass is our best signing of the season. Not only does he make excellent and crucial saves but he gives a calming influence to our defence and us fans. Every keeper no matter our good will make a mistake from time to time but please don't mention Slocombe in the same breath as Bass, there is no comparison.

He has a good point though, I said before KO that Maynard would be damned if he did or damned if he didn't by the Maynard out crew but he's actually managed to get hammered both ways. I very much doubt if most on here, or down the Lane think he has no idea but rather the same posters shouting it again & again. COYP

I am guessing that if you were to get your wish that you will be applying for the job.

Lots of disappointments and frustrations this season, but overall I am happy at the moment. But we do need to kick on and when JJ and others are back we have to start winning more regularly. This league is there for the taking.

Not very scientific I know, but we spoke to about 10 Notts fans in the pub after the game and maybe 8 thought he should go with maybe 2 or 3 on the fence. I think yesterday persuaded a few that he?s a bit of a dead end.

Maynard is going nowhere people need to understand that. Get behind him. The Bros will not go anywhere near sacking him anytime soon.

Agreed, but Bass seems very vulnerable to shots along the deck,
    needs to work on this.

Be careful what you wish for, we sit 5th in the table any neutral looking at that would think you are mad to sack your manager. Look at Eustace at Birmingham they were lying 7th and finished up getting relegated.
Rosenior at Hull they were 7th and now in the bottom 3. West Ham fans didn't like Moyes who won them their first trophy in years and are now struggling. Let's see where we are after the Xmas fixtures.

    Bass was brilliant yesterday
But he made two big rickets by passing to opposition players
The first he salvaged with a great save but the second led to a goal
As you say, even the best keepers make the occasional cock-up
But I'd agree with Maynard that Bass is the best GK in L2

Bass was superb yesterday but it was his mistake that led to their equaliser and it all went west from there.
Mass substitutes didn?t help but not sure they were the reason we got pegged back. There was only going to be one winner after they equalised. We were doing nothing in an attacking sense before their second goal anyway.
