I know I would.
I certainly wouldn't. People who know me would attest to that too.

We bring our children into the world, we do our best for them when they're in our care, then that's it - we can help out where we can when they're older, but breaking the law to protect them, when they have broken the law - NO WAY.

I personally see that is what is wrong with things and human nature in the world. Hunter Biden has done some shocking things and his father protecting him goes much further than just pardoning him.

If you examining the pardon, it goes all the way back to 2014. I don't think the pardon is purely there for Hunter's benefit, but also to protect Joe Biden.

When Biden was Obama's VP, he did some really dodgy stuff with regards to raising funds for his own benefit and abusing his position of power. If he just wanted to fix Hunter's convictions, he could have just pardoned them, but to pardon everything in the last ten years - including everything that he hasn't even been charged with yet, smacks of a cover up. There would still have been a cry of 'foul' from the right, but the 'dad supporting son' argument would have had more substance.

The down side for Hunter, is that if he is called to testify against his father, he can't 'cite the fifth' - as he won't be incriminating himself - as he has been admonished from all responsibility. However, he can just refuse to answer questions or say he can't remember.
