    Reach News

Got to be the only website worse than Sibos. I?m amazed enough people actually go on them to make them financially worthwhile. They must make cash by folk accidentally hitting ads as the page loads

It?s impossible to get local news from these sites. The journalists have to produce about 10 articles a day to feed the monster & if there is actually a good one, it gets buried in amongst 500 ads

    F*cking sort it out SiBo

Sounds like Aberdeen Live which is like trying to read Exchange and Mart on a trampoline with J?ri Tarmak - who surely must have been a Jute target at one time - and Mary Peters. Its articles are apparently written by volunteers, no doubt kids looking for a break, like Panda did in whoring his copy around anyone who?d print it back in the days of the auld auld site (bring it back Jeff min ye fupper o fupp etc etc). Proper Mannies/Wifies/other identities Journalism is all but fracked, and gits like Sibo are encouraging it.

Other than the views expressed above, I have no strong feelings on the matter.

I saw Panda many years ago at Ibrox singing a song that would get succulent lamb removed from the Scottish Football Journalist of the year dinner

I?d Google him to see if he ever made it in his chosen profession but it would probably take me to a f*cking Reach site

I believe Reach are also using AI to generate articles.

As Vintage says, journalism is all but finished.

I asked AI to write a short article on the closing of said forum. This is what it came up with

Remembering the Aberdeen FC Fans Forum: Two Decades On

Twenty years ago, an online community that united Aberdeen FC supporters in spirited debate, banter, and camaraderie came to an abrupt end. The Aberdeen FC Fans Forum, affectionately remembered by many as a cornerstone of fan culture, was shut down by its enigmatic administrator, Jeff the Radge. For those who frequented its digital halls, its closure marked the end of an era.

The forum wasn?t just a message board; it was a melting pot of opinions. Whether fans were dissecting a tactical masterstroke, venting after a disappointing loss, or simply sharing their love for the Dons, it provided a ***** connection in a pre-social media world. Regular posters became part of an extended family, their screen names as iconic as the players they celebrated (or criticized).

Jeff the Radge, the larger-than-life figure who ran the site, maintained a unique blend of authority and humor. His decision to close the forum is shrouded in mystery to this day, with some attributing it to escalating arguments, technical challenges, or simply burnout. Whatever the reason, the loss was deeply felt.

In hindsight, the forum represents a different era of online fan engagement. Before Twitter wars and Instagram reels, it offered a more intimate, albeit rowdy, space for fans to share their passion. For those who were part of it, the memories endure?a reminder of the way football fandom can bring people together, even in the face of division.

Though the forum is gone, its legacy lives on in the hearts of Aberdeen supporters. As the saying goes, ?Once a Don, always a Don.?

Never heard of it? Doesn’t sound like I’m missing much.

What a mess “news” is in.
WTF is going on with the BBC website?
I know they operate for foreign ad revenue but the proliferation of blatant click bait articles is ridiculous.
Unbelievably people still fall for it. The comments depress me that these people get a vote.
