Did Radar's analysis tell them that Maynard was going to tank last season's promotion challenge (5th to 14th)?
Did it tell them that Burch would get nowhere near automatic promotion?
My answer to the original question is that I hope so, but I don't think so.
Something is missing.
It's the title of the thread, started by Piessince67, not me.
To get promoted you need points. Compared to other managers overall, he's not been very good at getting points overall. They all have their good spells and their bad spells. Overall some are better than others. So based on what he's done so far compared to what other managers did, I think no, he won't get us promoted.
the ppg table was your reply to the thread. Fair enough if you don't think that a manager's squad, the league they're playing in, or their professional experience or where they are in their career, the injuries, the opposition that year, their injuries, fixture list and all other variables influence ppg or ppg trends going forward, then I guess that's your point.
I have no idea whether SM will get us promoted - but based on the points tally his Notts accumulated THIS season before the injuries became such a big issue, and Notts performances against the better sides with 5/6/7 first teamers missing, I'd say it looks like he has a decent chance.[eta: and also, the meh quality of opposition, although MKD are looking lively]
respect your work for Notts generally, bit sad to see you start massaging things to suit your dislike of SM. Let the stats fall where they may. Have a great day and all crossed for tomorrow. mud out

I'm absolutely gobsmacked, to be honest, that putting out a straight forward text dump of all 4th tier managers' PPG record can be described as "massaging".
OK, I must hold my hands up, I'd never considered that when Maynard won 4 games on the trot, he was better than Williams and Nolan when they didn't win 4 games on the trot.
Give him a six year contract.
