So, your idea would solve a parking issue (potentially) but not raise that much more money for the NHS.

So, it's been run down. Reason? Automation, remove humans as much as possible (still leaves maintenence) In comes APNR.
Running it down simply gives ammunition for the cost to go up.
And who is going to fund this mythical car park....and where do cars park whilst it is being built?

This is of course if the APNR (rumour?) is true....I can't find any details.

It's a bit like Rotherham council and their road cycle schemes this...make a problem worse instead of a good solution.

I'll keep it short. The reason you know nothing is because the memo/email informing staff who park at RDGH, of the impending new ANPR system, was only sent out last Thursday. Watch this space, it's happening and all I said in my opening post.

Only thing not to happen that is clearly in urgent need, is the Multi storey car park. As for where would everyone park if it was to be built, like anything else, use a different method of transport. There's enough buses go there on a daily basis and there's also taxis anyone could book.
