So, your idea would solve a parking issue (potentially) but not raise that much more money for the NHS.
So, it's been run down. Reason? Automation, remove humans as much as possible (still leaves maintenence) In comes APNR.
Running it down simply gives ammunition for the cost to go up.
And who is going to fund this mythical car park....and where do cars park whilst it is being built?
This is of course if the APNR (rumour?) is true....I can't find any details.
It's a bit like Rotherham council and their road cycle schemes this...make a problem worse instead of a good solution.
